La Gomera, one of the geologically youngest of the western Canary Islands, is an enchanted place where time seems to have stood still. The island's landscape is an intricate labyrinth of valleys, ravines and canyons studded with basalt rock formations of all shapes and sizes.

The tour starts with pickup from the meeting point in south Tenerife and transfer to the port of Los Cristianos. You will then board the ferry with the other participants for a quick 50-minute trip to La Gomera.

Once in La Gomera, you'll explore the most spectacular sites and viewpoints including the exclusive Mirador de Abrante while listening to the guide's detailed explanation. Admire the island's scenic peaks and ravines forged over the centuries by volcanic activity.

The tour continues to the heart of the laurel forest, an ancient ecosystem found in only a handful of other places in the world. The laurel forest features beautiful evergreen and hardwood trees up to 30 meters tall, mosses, ferns and intricate canopies that allow little light to filter through.

Refuel with a tasty lunch accompanied by a live demonstration of the Silbo Gomero, a unique traditional whistled language used by the island's inhabitants. The Silbo is exclusive to La Gomera, considered by UNESCO as a Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.
