It was very nice trip to discover la gomera without walking. Not suitable for hiking however. Just a negative part: we lost almost 3h of our day because there was no information about when and where is the real ferry departure. Just adding some clear information about it is important for the selection of the appropriate pick up location.

The pick-up bus was there on time in El Medano. However, the journey to the ferry took extremely long. In the morning I viewed the long drive as a sightseeing tour through the south, but in the evening the return journey took a very long time. The day in La Gomera was very interesting and varied. I particularly liked the mystical forest. The bus driver chauffeured us very safely through the narrow and steep streets. The guides speak many languages. However, our guide's intonation took a lot of getting used to. All in all, a very well organized day that gives you an overview of the island.

This is a great day trip if you are staying in southern Tenerife. If you are looking to get a high level overview of La Gomera, take some good pictures, and learn about it's terrain, people, and history, this is a great way to do it. You spend most of the time on the bus and there isn't much hiking, but if you want to see the entire island in 6-8 hours, this is the tour to do it. If you want to do more advanced hiking and see only a few parts of the island, then you might be better off doing another trip or going on your own. The guide is multilingual and repeats the information in various languages, so most of the info is very high level. Although some people may not like this, it did not bother me. I enjoyed the trip and would highly recommend.
