From South Tenerife: La Gomera Island Day Trip with Lunch

Amazing and varied landscape and the trip gives you a taste of La Gomera. I’m not sure what I expected of the day but there is a lot of time on the coach. Didn’t start well as they were 30 mins late picking us up (apparently some customers had forgotten their photo ID) The food was mediocre (chicken too pink for my liking) and you share tables with other s on the trip. The whistling display was done by the waiter (think I expected a show with a few people in traditional dress). Our guide was a bit like marmite. Hats off to the bus driver though. Felt safe in his hands.

The meal at la laguna wasn‘t delicious (!) and the free time at la laguna was so long (45 min) but there is nothing to do, but in the 45 min at san sebastian, you can‘t even order a drink, as you have to walk to a bar for about 10 min (and then back to the ferry). We had a run to the tower, as it is the central sight of the town. All in all, I wouldn‘t recommend, as I took a look on yt about the possibilities of a one day trip on the island.

We met the group at the Ferry ticket office as there was no pick up near us. Easy boarding, lovely journey with plenty of time for snacks. Comfortable air conditioned coach stopping at several places for photos then an interesting canarian lunch and a whistling display. There was time for a quick explore in the laurel forest. On to another visitor centre with exhibitions, shop,views and historical displays. The tour guide gave lots of information in four languages continuously throughout the trip, delivered however in a somewhat irritating style. We finished up with a little time in San Sebastian before boarding the ferry back to Los Cristianos. A very good trip making us think we would like to go again with our own car to explore further.
