From Phoenix: Sedona, Jerome & Montezuma Castle Day Trip

2. From Phoenix: Sedona, Jerome & Montezuma Castle Day Trip

Visit one of the most remarkable areas in the Southwest, the Red Rocks of Sedona, on a day tour from Phoenix. Travel back in time to the Montezuma Castle National Monument. Departing from Phoenix, travel along the banks of Beaver Creek to reach a Sinagua Indian cliff dwelling. Stop at the visitor center to see beads, pottery, and tools used by this long-lost culture. Admire models which help you understand what life was like for the Sinagua Indians 1000 years ago. Next, head to the amazing red rocks of Sedona. Find yourself surrounded by such famous rock formations as Bell Rock and Cathedral Rock and experience the serene beauty of Oak Creek Canyon. Continue towards uptown Sedona, a shopper’s delight. Here, find intriguing art galleries, boutiques, and a variety of restaurants. For the non-shoppers, a side trip from the city is available, traveling deeper into this magnificent country. Finally, drive up Mingus Mountain to the turn-of-the-century mining town of Jerome, a former ghost town that is now a thriving mountainside village. Enjoy free time to visit the many shops and galleries or grab a photo of Sedona from above before beginning the journey back to Phoenix.

What people are saying about Tempe

Our grandchildren (age 6 and 8) had a great time. There were interesting Lego exhibits, hands- on experiences to build with Lego and Duplo blocks, two really fun rides, and 4 D short movies. We could rest in the snack center while they enjoyed building and the rides. The movies were especially fun. We were there around 3-4 hours (including shopping at the Lego store) and no one was bored. They also limited the amount of people in the attraction so it didn't feel crowded. We purchased our tickets online ahead of time. I would recommend doing that because when we got there at 10:30, all of the tickets had been sold and you could not buy tickets until 2:00.

Great experience. Kim was guide during the trip. She was thoughtful, she was taking care of everyone's need. She shared with us lots of great stories. And she took many excellent photos I wish we could spend more time in Sedona. It's such a pretty and cute place. Worth seeing ❤ Bus was comfortable especially that it was not full (10/13). This experience is perfect for couples but also solo-travelers (like me)

Eric is a great guide & driver! he explained all about Sedona, Montezuma and Jerome. he didn't skip any part of the tour and didn't rush us in any place. i would highly recommend taking this tour.

The guide was on time, kind, hilarious, informative, took awesome pictures, and made sure we were all safe. Loved the trip ❤️

Kim was amazing and very knowledeage. She went out of her way to make sure we were all okay through out the trip. 5 Stars
