Full description

After a pre-sunrise departure from Tel Aviv or Jerusalem, drive through the rolling hills of the Judean desert. At 5:30 AM, you’ll arrive at Masada, a set of mountaintop fortifications that date back to the 1st century BCE. Hike to peak to watch the sunrise from the summit, painting the surrounding valleys in rich hues. Continue to the En Gedi Nature Reserve, which covers an astounding 3,500 acres. A massive oasis in the desert, it includes vast streams and rivers that spill out from impressive waterfalls. Amble through the mountainous terrain, marvelling at the lush greenery in the heart of the desert. To cap things off, head to the Dead Sea, where you’ll have 1.5 hours to relax. Coat yourself in its iconic black mud, famed for its restorative qualities, and float in the highly saline water. After your time at the lowest point on earth, you’ll head back to Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.

I had a wonderful time on this tour. It's definitely worth getting up at 1am for. The hike was strenuous. Each location was beautiful and I wish I had more time at each. Unfortunately, a lot of our time was spent waiting around for the group to return because the guide wasn't good at telling us where or when to meet. In general, the guide didn't add much to the experience of the tour. The sights (and a little personal research) speak for themselves.

Good morning, great experience. Departure at 3 am all on time. I emphasize not by all. You have to be inclined to climb towards the masada fortress. The effort, about 50 minutes of climbing, is worth the spectacle of dawn accompanied by the stories of our guide Envid. Very good, fast and accurate. Afterwards we went to the En Gedi nature park I recommend the penultimate waterfall. Last stop is a swim in the dead sea. I highly recommend this sunrise tour because it allows you not to meet many people and to experience everything at an acceptable temperature. Comfortable shoes. Costume. Return around 2pm. Excellent guide. Shumacher driver I highly recommend

The guide was friendly and informative. The hike was beautiful and moderately strenuous, which I liked. All of the excursions were well worth going. If you plan to go to Ein Gedi, make sure to have water shoes/ sandals to be able to walk through the waterfall. I highly recommend this tour!
