From Tel Aviv, hop on the minivan early in the morning, and drive towards the Jordan valley, passing magnificent desert landscape. Follow the famous Snake Path up to the top of the cliff of the Masada fortress, while the cool night slowly turns into day, and watch a spectacular sunrise over the Dead Sea and the Jordanian mountains. You’ll have plenty of time to unravel the history of one of the biggest tales of Jewish heroism among the excavated ruins, before descending again. The journey continues at Ein Gedi Nature Reserve, a green oasis situated in the middle of the surrounding Judean Desert. Walk past its refreshing springs, waterfalls and wildlife, or even dip into one of the many freshwater pools to cool off. Eventually, you will get to rest your feet in the therapeutic waters of the Dead Sea, experience the unique sensation of floating effortlessly, and cover your skin in its healing mud. Other than getting up for a 3AM departure, this tour was amazing. To walk up the snake trail amongst lantern lights and arrive at the top as the sun begins its climb through the mountains was spiritual and majestic. Ein Gedi was a perfect respite from the heat and walking through the waterfalls was like finding an oasis. The dead sea is an amazing natural sight that desperately needs support to assure it is available for future generations. Our tour guide Samual was incredibly passionate on the topic and gave a lot of insight into the area. Do not miss this tour!

Experience was just great. The thing that disappointed me was the huge commission get your guide applied. Considering that Abraham Hostel who is the one who makes the tour charges around 40 pound for the trip while if you book with get your guide you pay 98 (!). Book directly next time!!!!

Masada is an amazing place and so is Ein Gedi and the Dead Sea too. There’s so much to see and explore and floating in the Dead Sea is an experience like no other. Would have liked a bit more time at Masada and Ein Gedi. We also had to pay to enter Ein Gedi which I thought was included in the price. Driver didn’t come to the entrance at Masada and it took a few minutes to get in but overall it was an amazing trip and I would recommend it.
