This was an excellent way to see Petra from Tel Aviv. We were worried about the l logistics especially the Jordanian border crossing and asked many questions in advance. Everything was very smooth and the guides were excellent. It paid to be prepared and have the right expectations that it is roughly 15 hours of travel for 3 hours at Petra but if that is how you can see Petra it is worth it! We want to go back and spend more time there as to truly see Petra you need days not hours but if you have one day from Israel this may be your perfect tour. Our family LOVED it!

We had a great trip. But things to be aware of. We had a flight at 6:30 am from Tel Aviv to Eilat. The person picked us up just fine from the airport. Then when we got to the Jordan border a person was there but said wait over there. Another person showed up an hour later and was like, why did you get here so early? LOL I said....um, I didn't book my flight. So we started very early....but we were at the Jordan border for 2 hours before we got on the tour bus. We drove to Petra and loved our guide. However, we only had about 2 hours at Petra. Not enough time to see much. Also, we didn't have the audio to listen to with headphones. We had to be near the guide to hear. He stopped a lot. So what i could have walked in 20 minutes took us an hour. It would have been better to have headphones and we can walk at our pace and listen. That way we can actually see more. However, we loved the trip. Everything worked out...it was just more wasted time than we realized we would have. Still 5 stars!

Overall impressive place and probably the most efficient option you have if you're based out of Tel Aviv and have limited time. The entire trip was pretty smooth, with a pick up from Eilat airport to the Jordanian border, and all border and visa fees prepaid via link to the tour operator. Then you get joined by a much bigger group of people at the border and a Jordanian guide and bus takes over to drive to Petra with a small pee break. The drive is about 2.5h. After a tour of the main sights incl. the Treasury we had an hour of free time plus 45min of lunch before driving back to the border and getting a flight back. I think apart from the 90min wait between getting through to Jordan and sorting out visa fees of all people that join you there, it's a very smoothly organised trip. Make sure you have some food as there is nothing at the Jordanian border and lunch is only at 4.30pm. The bathroom break place only has chips and drinks.
