Embark on a comprehensive full-day tour of the West Bank of the Jordan River to discover the rich history behind the region. Depart Tel Aviv at 6:30 AM and then arrive on the West Bank after one hour and meet your guide.

Beginning with the ancient baptism site of Qasr el Yahud on the banks of the Jordan River at around 8:00 AM, you'll be able to visit the marble steps leading into the river, said to be the very place where Jesus was baptized.

At 8:45 AM, move on to the city of Jericho itself, the oldest city in the world, where you will visit the ruins of ancient Jericho and view the nearby Mount of Temptation in the adjacent hills.

Then continue to Ramallah at 10:15 AM and walk the streets of this modern city and see life in the big city on the West Bank. The tour will head to Manara Square, the thriving commercial district, and visit Yasser Arafat's tomb.

Stop for lunch at around 1:00 PM before continuing onto a tour of Bethlehem at around 2:30 PM. In Bethlehem visit the Nativity Church, and end with a visit to the Separation Wall. Return to your hotel in Tel Aviv at around 6:00 PM.

We went on the tour with our two children. Everything went very well. Of course, everything is only briefly touched on in the short time available, but it's worth it. The price is high but you will be competently and safely guided through the sights. Insights into nature, politics and religions are offered. The guide, who also prepared lunch in his house (that was sensationally good!) was very easygoing and extremely individual to the group. We recommend the tour for a quick look at the sights of the West Bank.

The Palestinian (Greek Orthodox) guide could tell us a lot about the history, politics, own personal experiences as a Palestinian and biblical history of/in this area of the West Bank. In Ramallah we had delicious ice cream and falafel. Lunch at Bethlehem was very good. Could also be vegan if you wanted. No queue at the birthplace of Jesus. The story about Jericho was interesting, but the place itself less so. There would be a very nice unique mosaic floor nearby, which would be more worth visiting. Feet in the Jordaan and there was the possibility to visit a museum about Palestinian history in Bethlehem, near the "wall". All in all very satisfied.

Really interesting trip. I particularly liked the Ramallah part of it to hear a side of a situation one rarely does. Our guide, George, was fantastic. I felt comfortable asking him challenging questions and he didn't shy away from anything. We saw so much and were taken great care of.
