An excellent day trip. Watched the sun rise on the road to Matamata and Hobbiton. Spent this wonderful day with a nice group of people, an American family and Aussie librarian, and Kelly, our driver and guide was fantastic. So kind and knowledgeable, he showed us a lot and even taught us a few phrases in Te Two as we drove to Rotorua. The guides at Hobbiton and Te Puis were also excellent and generous, and I'm glad I could learn a lot about Māori culture and arts and crafts, watch geysers and multi-coloured lakes, visit The Shore, and eat delicious hāngī lamb and chicken at lunch! A superb day!

We were rained out from the Waitomo caves. Never good news, but the tour and tour guide in particular did their best to help us still have an enjoyable day. They booked us additional tours in Rotorua and made a point to keep spirits high!

Travelling took part in a very spacious, very comfortable van / minibus. Edson, our driver, was a delight and very knowledgeable. Hobbiton is a must for every Lord of the Rings fan. It’s been an unforgettable experience.

Our driver Andy was so good and so fun. He made sure we were on time to all our destinations, and always repeated things twice incase some of us were too busy taking photos or chatting!

Simon was an excellent tour guide! He explained everything, was on time and provided informative commentary and music during our ride.
