Linda our driver/guide was nice and very knowledgeable. We had a guided walk in WaiOtapu to see the boiling mud pool, the green and blue lake, Lady Knox Geyser and an hour walk in the Waimangu Valley. It was an eye opening experience, seeing the volcanic landscape and appreciating the beautiful creations of nature. There was a light drizzle but it didn't dampen our anxiety to complete the trail. The afternoon tour to Te Puai was replaced by Whakarewarewa 'The Living Village'. It was fabulous and amazing to have a descendant from the indigenous village as our tour guide to share the unique history of her ancestors and the Maori village culture. Highly recommend.

We received so much more than our moneys worth in every aspect! Our guide Mikaere (sp?) could not have been better. His knowledge of his land and people was incredible and he imparted that knowledge in such a genuine, caring way that it made you respect, understand and embrace the Maori culture, lifestyle and beliefs. We truly loved every part of this tour and it just kept on giving. From the geothermal area and geyser, the hangi feast, the kiwi conservation and on to the cultural show it was absolutely amazing. A big shout out to our other hosts E Haka and Nate too! We highly recommend this tour, it was money well spent! Don't hesitate, just do it!

Mark was an excellent guide: personable, patient, thoughtful, and very knowledgeable about the culture, geology, and history of New Zealand. My husband and I had a lovely time on the tour. There was a lot of time spent on the bus, but it was as advertised. We were staying in Auckland and not renting a car, but wanted to get a taste of the countryside as well as see some unique sights during our limited time in the area. This tour hit the mark!

Waitomo Caves were an unbelievable experience! My wife and I thouroughly enjoyed the tour. Te Puia and Rotorua were also fantastic. Its a bit of ground to cover so not tons of time at each stop but Mark, our driver never made us feel rushed. He was informative and very helpful.

Lovely trip. The glowworms were amazing. Learning about the Māori culture was also quite lovely. John, our driver, was fantastic.
