TCL Chinese Theatre: Tours & Tickets
What people are saying about TCL Chinese Theatre
Amazing look at the real stories of Hollywood and the Sunset Strip. Explored the strip, learned about some of the great old stories of Hollywood from the 50s and 60s and 70s, and learned a BUNCH of things I never knew, even having been on some other tours in Hollywood before. David does an amazing job and includes a really thoughtful soundtrack to go along with lots of the stories - from Buffalo Springfield and the riots of the late 60s to Joanie Mitchell to today. Ended with some fantastic views from Griffith Park looking over the city right before sunset. Definitely one of the best walking tours I've ever been on!
The day was a bit chilly, so apparently lots of people had cancelled. It was just us two and another person, yet the tour still went ahead which was great. The tour guide Sammy privided us with blankets to protect from the harsh winds. There is only one stop where you get out and takd pictures with the Hollywood sign and the downtown LA skyline, but there are plenty of times along the way where the car stops for a moment to let you take pictures of the celebrity homes. All in all, we enjoyed the tour and it was a good way of noting places you think are worth coming back to on your own.
The tour was the perfect start to my stay in Hollywood. Our guide, Breeanna, led us to major points of interest such as the Walk of Fame, TCL Chinese, Dolby, El Capitane, and Egyptian Theaters. Along the way, Breeanna shared fascinating stories about people and events that transformed the city and the industry. Highly informative and definitely recommended.
It says that there is a hotel pick-up but once I booked it, there was never an option for this. The $10 parking spot was an easy few blocks walk to the start of the tour. You could probably find street parking closer if you wanted to try. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and it was a very efficient way to see a lot of things in the city! Recommend!
The experience was great. A great guide who had lots of information to share. I did think that the tour could have shown us more in the time that there was. I found that there wasnt enough substance for a 2 hour tour. I would definitly recommend it to someone else.
