Full description
The tour begins with pickup from your hotel in a private vehicle as you set out for a day of exploration and sight seeing. Founded in the 5th century AD on the site of a mineral hot-spring, Tbilisi developed into an important political and cultural center of the Caucasus. From your knowledgeable local guide, learn about the course of the city’s history from its origins, and how religion has played a part in its development.

Discover the vibrant blend of cultures across the city, particularly in the Old Town, where religions mix to create a mesmerizing skyline of mosques, synagogues and churches. Learn about how these religions coexist side by side in the city as you explore Armenian, Roman Catholic, and Georgian places of worship.

Visit a selection of the city’s most iconic landmarks, and enjoy a ride up to Narikala Fortress via an aerial cable car. From the top, admire the breathtaking views across the city and it’s interesting mix of architecture. Afterwards, visit the Tbilisi History Museum, as well as Rustaveli Avenue and Freedom Square. Then drive down to Mtatsminda Funicular Lower station and take a tram to Mtatsminda Park for a relaxing evening walk.
