Full description
Begin the day at 9:00 AM to venture out to southern Georgia, where the Vardzia cave complex, Rabati Castle and Borjomi resort await your discovery. Vardzia, your first stop, is a cave complex that was excavated from the slopes of the Erusheti Mountain in the 12th century. Pass through narrow canyons at Aspindza along a particularly beautiful valley to find Vardzia. A place with royal history, see the monastery with its Assumption temple and the ancient paintings of the King and Queen of the time. Other intriguing features of the complex include the bell tower, chapels, pharmacy, and wine cellars.  The trip continues to Rabati Castle, a medieval castle complex of Asian style in Akhaltsikhe. Built in the 13th century, Rabati castle developed under the influence of different cultures over subsequent centuries and this is reflected in its architecture; the modern section including a restaurant, hotel, cafes, and shops while the ancient includes the Ahmediyeh Mosque, the church, the family castle of Jakeli, and the historical museum. Borjomi, the last destination, is a hydro-thermal health spa resort in the southern region of Samtskhe-Javakheti. Borjomi has an international reputation for its geothermal spring mineral water resources. Enjoy walking in Borjomi Central Park and taste the award-winning local mineral water said to have unique healing qualities. Explore the open-air sulfur water swimming pool, before returning to Tbilisi.

The Vardzia caves were interesting to see and very professional guide George gave very good insight of those times when they were created! On the tour we stopped at the restaurant with beautiful mountain scenery and really good Georgian food. We were able to stop in Borjomi to taste the mineral water (the very worm one:)) So I would tell that the tour 5-star, guide 5-start and driver 5-start !

Those trips are personalized and the guides were taking care of us even before the trips, writing earlier with information where we are meeting, how to get there, answering the questions, reminding about the trips. In that way it is really worth the price. In Tbilisi you can buy trips cheaper but it was very worth to have this care. On that trip we were the only ones with a guide and driver so basically it was a private tour :). The guide was young and had big knowledge, it is obvious he likes what he does. One thing is that the guide spoke basically only with my dad and was ignoring bit my mom - i know its cultural thing but if you choose this job, you should behave same to both sexes. But generally he was very nice and I do recommend the trip, I just wonder what he would do if there were only women on the trip ;)

We had two tour with Gamarjoba Georgia Tour and today we will book the third one because all of them were great! For this tour our guide was George and he explained us a lot of information about Georgian history and culture, Tbilisi, Vardzia, Rabati and Borjomi. George is full of knowledge and he's really polite and friendly. Our driver was really carefully and even if Vardzia is a bit far from Tbilisi our journey was relaxing
