Things to do in Tauranga

One of the best experiences I've ever had. We were told that usually 30-40 people book this tour and we only were 15, which in itself was a huge privilege. Just outside of the port we ran into a pod of approx. 100 dolphins and were able to swim with them since they did not have any babies with them. The snorkeling / swimming experience was one of a kind and probably one of the most humbling and yet exciting things I've ever done. After the snorkeling we hopped on board again and ran almost immediately into a pod of 500-600 dolphins. We were surrounded by them and were able to spend a total of 80 minutes with the dolphins. Even the skipper and crew were delighted to have found such a huge pod. Would definitely book again!
