Enjoy a summer evening cruising on Lake Taupo. Chris Jolly has been entertaining guests for 40 years, and his tour to the Maori Rock Carvings is known worldwide. Recently restored, these rock carvings were created in the 1980s and still tower above the water, truly a sight to behold.  With family friendly activities on board and split level comfort, this tour is a must for those visiting the region. Enjoy the full bar as you cruise around the Lake Taupo bays, learning onboard from the live commentary. With views of Tongariro National Park and spectacular scenery, this is one evening to be enjoyed by all.

What a night for it! Absolutely stunning views of Lake Taupo. Skipper was excellent and you can tell she really loves doing these cruises, it makes all the difference. LOVED that it was an all female crew! Amazing facts about the lake and Maori Rock carvings, would 100% reccomend to do this tour with these lovely people!

Was abit choppy out on the waters but thoroughly enjoyed it, think i got seasick but also i came straight from jet boating so no doubt that would’ve affected me beforehand. The guides were lovely, the chairs on 2nd level NEED to be higher for those who want to sit and enjoy the view. Those seats are way too low. Me and other visitors have to crane our necks, it’s not comfortable at all, could be easily fixed with higher seats. I was on the Cruise Cat, for reference. Ngā mihi

Our guide was funny and very entertaining ensuring that we listen to every word. The crew were enthusiastic and dealt politely with tricky passengers. View was great and the history really interesting. Highly recommended. The only problem was the speaker cutting out so we missed some of the commentary.
