Rothenburg ob der Tauber is a MUST when traveling in Europe. Famous sights are the medieval town wall, the historical market place, the town hall, the Gothic Parish Church of St. Jakob, and the Plönlein, an area featuring a colorful timber-frame house. Worth to mention: German Christmas Museum at Käthe Wohlfarth`s Christmas Village, Medieval Crime and Torture Museum. The battlements can be traversed for a length of approx. 2.5 km.
