Visit Tasman National Park, where you’ll marvel at the spectacle of Tasman Arch and enjoy superb views of the rugged coastline. Be in awe of the wonderful views from Pirates Bay Lookout. Arriving at Port Arthur, join the guided walking tour of the historic convict site, with access to over 30 restored buildings and ruins. See the penitentiary, the separate prison, the commandant's house, the church, and more. Visit the interpretation center with its interactive exhibits and displays, and follow the harrowing life of a convict. Enjoy a cruise on Carnarvon Bay around the Isle of the Dead. Purchase lunch with plenty of time for quiet contemplation in the beautifully maintained gardens and to explore the many restored historic buildings of Port Arthur. Ask your driver about the optional, included remarkable cave tour. On Saturdays, the tour includes a visit to Hobart’s Salamanca Market. Delight in a shopping experience at this popular, colorful outdoor marketplace. You'll have time to explore the market at leisure for approximately 2 hours. Then, you will need to meet your bus at 11:00 to continue on with the Port Arthur tour and get a sense of Australia’s convict era and the early settlement of Tasmania. The Saturday tour does not include the cave tour or a visit to Richmond.

Enjoy a morning or afternoon tour of Hobart’s main landmarks in a converted historic tram. In this 3-hour comprehensive tour, you will see over 40 of Hobart's historical sites aboard the coach tram, including four stops. Your experienced driver/guide will give expert commentary providing you with an in-depth knowledge of the city's history, lifestyle, features and attractions. Departing from Brooke St Pier, your city coach tour will take you around the highlights of Hobart. Starting with Sullivan's Cove, Hobart's birthplace and ferry terminal, your tour will also include Parliament House and Salamanca Place, featuring Georgian-style warehouses now restored as restaurants, galleries, and pubs. You will head to Princes Park, a one-time gun battery, as well as Battery Point with its charming historic houses, pubs, boutique shops, and restaurants. Tours return to Book St Pier. Morning tour finishes at 12:45 PM and the afternoon tour finishes at 4.00 PM.

If you are vising Hobart, or a local, the Hobart City Scenic Flight is a great opportunity to see the wonderful city from a new perspective. Over 30 breathtaking minutes, you will depart Cambridge Airport, fly over the Eastern Shore and cross the Derwent River. You’ll have spectacular views of this beautiful river and its bridges, including the Tasman Bridge, as you track up river toward the world-class MONA and the Northern Suburbs. Fly down river past Mt Wellington, the 1270m high majestic backdrop to Hobart City. In winter, its rugged peaks are often dusted with snow. Next, fly over Hobart City  and the harbor area before passing Kingston, the South Arm coastal community and Clifton Beach, a popular surfing location, on your return to Cambridge. If you live in the city, the pilot will do their best to fly overhead! The aircraft type will vary according to group size.

So glad I booked this tour, from pick up in Hobart right through to drop off at the end of the day, our tour guide was amazing. He was funny, engaging & informative. Kept us laughing all day with dad jokes & kept us intrigued with the fascinating insights about the history of this part of Australia the whole drive. Port Arthur itself was a wealth of historical intrigue, the site is so well preserved and informative. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area, you will not be disappointed.
