One of Sydney’s most famous attractions; award-winning Taronga Zoo set in 68 hectares of parkland is home to almost 4000 animals including Australian native wildlife and rare and endangered creatures. Situated overlooking the magnificent Sydney Harbour, Taronga Zoo is open every day of the year and this amazing wildlife experience is just 12 minutes from the city by ferry. Open daily - 365 days a year. October to March: 9.30am to 5.00pm April to September:9.30am to 4.30pm. The Zoo has many popular trails to explore including the Australian Walkabout, Kids Trail, Reptile World, African Savannah, Rainforest Trail, Seal Walk with attached Seal Presentation Theatre and the iconic must-see Free Flight Bird Presentation. Zoo entry includes daily keeper talks and presentations. Up close Animal Encounters with a souvenir photo can be purchased on arrival for a small extra fee.
