The bar, famous for its lemon granita, is still owned by the family who were there during the filming. See the interior of the church where Michael married his Apollonia! Walk down alleyways in Al Pacino's footsteps, as Michael and Apollonia did after the wedding. Nearby you’ll see Forza d'Agrò, an attractive medieval village dominated by a 16th-century castle overlooking the coast. The Church of Sant'Agostino features in the scene where Vito escapes to America, hotly pursued by Don Ciccio's men. This is definitely a trip down memory lane!

    A must see for true fans of The Godfather. We thought about hiring a car for the day to get to these locations but we're glad we didn't because: a) it was cheaper to go on this organised tour b) extremely winding roads that I wouldn't like to drive on. The tour guide was very friendly and informative. We were given free time at each location and had a chance to look at everything at our own pace. We were running late for the departure of the tour but a quick phone call to the main office and they waited for us. Also my husband forgot his phone from another public bus we used to get there and the tour guide helped us to retrieve it by calling various numbers at the bus station etc. So so helpful.

    This was a great way to see some quaint medieval towns outside Taormina while including trivia from the Godfather movie. I would recommend this tour. Description states that you sit in Marlon Brando's chair at Bar Vitelli. You only get to see the bar from the outside but they give you some free time so you can go back and try to get in on your own. Tour states 5 hours but it was actually 6 hrs plus a few minutes to drop off passengers at a couple hotels. Bus was barely air conditioned and it was extremely hot so be prepared for heat in the summer months and wear comfortable shoes, lots of walking. Recommend this tour.

    The only reason why we gave one star less is the organisation. The tour should start at 9 a.m. At 9 a.m. I was calling the agency because nobody came for us. Then the lady who answered told me that the tour will start at 9.30 a.m. Why? Nobody knows. The lady told me that we are at the right place and that we should wait for the bus or van who will be very well marked with the agency logo and the tour name. At 9.30 a.m. still nobody was there. Then one white bus almost went from the parking when I noticed a little piece of paper on the front windshield where it was written "Cassata Travel Taormina - Godfather tour". It was an A4 piece of paper in the corner of front windshield - so if this is a "very well marked with the agency logo and the tour name" then it is awful.Nobody from the bus was searching for us or shouted the tour name, we noticed the bus in the last moment, he almost left without us.The lady who was our guide was perfect, all four stars are for her and places we visited.
