Explore Selous Game Reserve/ Nyerere National Park, the largest protected game reserve on the African continent. Flying in early in the morning from Zanzibar to Selous. Enjoy several activities in the area and a full day game drive., while staying overnight at our Africa Safari Selous accommodation. After two nights and three days of exploring you will fly back to Zanzibar. You will be picked up early in the morning at the hotel you are staying for a transfer to the airport. From here you will catch your flight from Zanzibar to Selous Game Reserve/Nyerere National Park. Once you have arrived, our driver will pick you up and bring you to our Africa Safari Selous accommodation. From here you will start exploring the surroundings by joining a walking safari in the bush. Enjoy a nice warm lunch when returning to the accommodation. After lunch our driver will take you to the Rufiji River, where you will join a boat safari. The Rufiji River is the largest and longest river in Tanzania and one of the few places where it is possible to see wildlife from the water. You will for example see hippos, crocodiles and many species of birds. When lucky you might even see an elephant or giraffe drinking from the river! After a day full of new experiences our driver will bring you back to Africa Safari Selous. Here you can enjoy a nice meal, a good shower and a comfortable bed. The following morning, after breakfast, your shared safari game drive will start in the largest Game Reserve of the African Continent, with a mid-morning coffee/tea break. During the game drive you will explore the wildlife and environment of Tanzania. Our driver guides have a lot of experience about the area and the wildlife and love to tell you everything about it. Experience an authentic safari bush lunch in the middle of the National Park! During break-time a warm lunch will be served at set tables in the bush. After lunch you will continue with the game drive. After enjoying a full day game drive you will head back towards our Africa Safari Selous accommodation. Enjoy another evening and night of relaxation while sleeping in the Tanzanian Bush. The following morning, after breakfast, you will be brought to the airstrip of Selous Game Reserve / Nyerere National Park, from where your flight back to Zanzibar will depart. From here our driver will be awaiting you to bring you back to your hotel.

Day 1: Arusha - Serengeti National Park Start your safari and camping adventure with hotel pickup from Arusha in the morning. Drive to Serengeti National Park with your complimentary packed lunch. Take a game drive en route to the campsite. Discover Serengeti National Park, known for its abundance of animals and the great wildebeest migration. It's a World Heritage Site teeming with wildlife and is home to lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, buffalos, zebras, wildebeest, eland, wild dogs, gazelles, crocodiles, and many birds, including Eurasia migrant birds. Have dinner and stay overnight in a tent at the Serengeti Wild Camp. Day 2: Full Day at Serengeti After breakfast, you will go on wide-ranging morning and afternoon game drives in Serengeti National Park. Your guide will locate the flocks of migrant birds and the herds. Spot carnivores like big cats and hyenas. See the annual migration of wildebeest and zebra in action. Learn about the park as you drive and see why the Maasai gave the park the name Serengeti, which means “endless plains”. Break for lunch and dinner at the campsite and spend one more night at Serengeti Seronera Campsite. Day 3: Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Crater Enjoy breakfast and check out of your accommodations before taking a game drive as you make your way toward the Ngorongoro Crater. During the tour, there will be an optional visit to the Olduvai Gorge at an extra fee for the museum. Have dinner and spend the night at Ngorongoro Simba “A” Campsite.  Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater Floor – Arusha Have an early breakfast and head to Ngorongoro Crater, where you will descend to the crater floor for game drives. See flamingos on Soda Lake and geese, storks, and vultures in the surrounding area. Then, break for lunch at the scenic Ngoitoktok Springs picnic site. After lunch, enjoy some final game viewing while ascending the crater. Finish your safari adventure with drop-off at your hotel in Arusha.

Scale the second highest mountain in Tanzania in this thrilling and challenging climb. Mount Meru, a dormant volcano that measures 4566 meters (14,979 feet) tall, is the perfect climb for those wanting a taste of high altitude trekking without going too high. Meru is centred in Arusha National Park, with fertile slopes that rise above the surrounding savannah and are home to a variety of wildlife, including nearly 400 species of birds, buffalos, leopards, giraffes and different species of monkeys. Day 1: Hotel to Momella gate to Miriakamba Hut Drive from Arusha or Moshi town to Momella Gate takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Once at the gate we will finish all the procedures and depart for the trek. The trek takes you through places from where you can catch breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro and the renowned Momella lakes. Trekkers encounter wildlife like on this day, with an armed Park Ranger to protect against wild animal threats we will continue a short distance until we reach the Miriakamba hut. Elevation: 1500m/4921ft to 2500m/8202ft Distance: 6km/3.5ml Hiking Time: 4-5 hours Day 2: Miriakamba Hut to Saddle Hut Today we trek through the steep path along the ridge of the saddle. On the way, you can witness the stunning Meru crater, the ash cone, and little Meru. There are chances of us encountering wildlife like Cape Buffaloes and the black and white Colobus monkey. We will end the trek up at Saddle hut. Once you have settled at the camp we will set off on a short trek to little Meru (3810m) for acclimatization purpose and return to Saddle hut. Elevation: 2500m/8202ft to 3500m/11483ft Distance: 6km/3.5ml Hiking Time: 4-5 hours Day 3: Saddle Hut to Socialist Peak to Miriakamba Hut We wake up just after midnight and have a light meal to keep our energies high. Once done with the meal we start the final ascent to Socialist Peak. This ascent will be steep and we will be making our way through gravel and rocky cliffs. This is the most mentally and physically challenging portion of the trek. Once at the summit, you will enjoy the magnificent views of the Meru Crater and the Ash cone. There are chances that one might catch a glimpse of wildlife like mountain Reedbucks and Klipspringers over the rocky ridge. From the summit, we begin our descent by continuing straight down to the Miriakamba hut. Elevation: 3500m/11483ft to 4562m/14967ft down to 2500m/8202ft Distance: 19km/12ml Hiking Time: 10-12 hours Day 4: Miriakamba Hut to Momella gate After breakfast, we continue the descent down to the Momella Gate, we will change the route and take the southern route down hence the change in distance trekked on this day. We will also pass through the astonishing Fig tree Arch. Our vehicle will be waiting for you at Momella gate to drive you back to your hotel in Arusha (around 1 hour and 30 minutes). Your Zanzibar adventure begins with a visit to Prison Island, purchased in 1893 by Lloyd Mathews, the British First Minister of Zanzibar at the time. Mathews constructed a prison complex on the island which is still visible today, however no prisoners were ever housed on the island and instead it became a quarantine station for yellow fever sufferers. On the island, spend some time exploring the area and discover the collection of over 50 tortoises that live here, some of which are more than 100 years old. Learn about why the tortoises call the island their home, as well as taking photos and feeding them too. The island is also home to peacocks and small antelope too. Once you’ve explored the island, enjoy the opportunity to cool off from the hot weather with a refreshing dip in the surrounding crystal clear waters. Spend some time snorkeling in the water just off the island and search for colorful tropical fish and vibrant coral reef. After you’ve worked up an appetite from swimming, relax on the sandbank with a delicious lunch including a seafood BBQ, Swahili cuisine, cheese, tropical fruit, and more.

Following this, your flight will depart from Zanzibar to Mikumi National Park to begin your shared safari game drive. During the game drive you will explore the wildlife and environment of Tanzania. After lunch, continue with the game drive, then get driven back to the airstrip for your flight back to Zanzibar. Once you arrive back in Zanzibar, enjoy a transfer back to your hotel.

We will collect you from your hotel in Arusha and following a 2-3 hour drive, you will arrive at the Tarangire National Park. In this region, Hemmingway often went on big game hunting safaris. After the formation of the national parks in 1970, they turned the seasonal marshes and the endless savannah that one sees today into, once again, profitable hunting grounds. Today however, cameras thankfully have replaced the elephant guns. The Tarangire National Park has the highest density of elephants in North Tanzania and you can view these animals all year round in which the herds often can reach an impressive number of 300 animals. The Tarangire River has water all year round and during the dry season, between July and October, many animals from the surrounding areas come to the river for drinking. If you visit the park during the dry season, you will witness an unforgettable natural wonder as you can observe wonderful creatures such as lions, giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeests and zebras as well as various types of antelopes and gazelles and with a little luck, you can also spot a python! This area is during the dry season also a haven for bird watchers with over 550 different species including the Masai Ostrich -the world largest bird. Around lunchtime, you will stop at a suitable picnic place before the afternoon is dedicated to more wildlife watching. Before sunset, you will be taken back to your hotel in Arusha or Moshi.

At 07.00/08.30 in the morning your shared safari game drive will start in the largest Game Reserve of the African Continent, with a mid-morning coffee/tea break at 10.30. During the game drive you will explore the wildlife and environment of Tanzania. Our driver guides have a lot of experience about the area and the wildlife and love to tell you everything about it. Experience an authentic safari bush lunch in the middle of the National Park! At 12.30 a warm lunch will be served at set tables in the bush. After lunch you will continue with the game drive till 15.30, when you will be driven back to the airstrip for your flight back to Zanzibar. Your flight will depart at 16.15 from the airstrip of Selous Game Reserve/ Nyerere National Park back to Zanzibar, where you will arrive at 17.05 and will be picked up and brought back to your hotel.

Meet your guide at the office of the activity provider then drive along the main road going to Pwani Majangani, for about 4 km. The tour usually stops for a few minutes at a local shop where you can buy some food to offer as a present to the village. After this small pit stop, you leave the tarmac road to ride the quad off-road through the rice fields, where your guide stops for about 15 minutes to explain the economy, culture, and habits of the villages in the middle part of the island. After this explanation, the excursion goes ahead through the environment of the island to arrive at the local village, where you'll stop for about 1 hour. Travelers will have the opportunity to stay with the children, play with them, and be in contact with the community of the village. After this first contact, your guide will offer guests local fresh fruits (Madafu, seasonal fresh fruit). Next, head to the House of Mad, a typical home in the rural village, as your guide discusses the life and culture of the Zanzibarian people. Before getting back on the quad, visit plantations of cinnamon, cloves, lemon grass, and other varieties, which are cultivated by the people of the village. You finally leave the village riding to Pwani Majangani to reach the fishermen's village. At the village, you will stop for a few minutes to explain the difference between the rural village and the community based on the coast of the Island. Following the sand road, passing through the fishermen's houses, you arrive at the beach where you will stop for a few minutes before heading back to the starting point.
