Day trip to Tirana & Kruja

Today we drive to Tirana to explore the capital. We walk along the main boulevard, visit Skanderbeg Square, recently rebuilt as a pedestrian zone, Mother Teresa Square, stroll past the National Library and Historical Museum, the Tanners' Bridge, the Pyramid and other interesting sites. We visit the city's old bazaar (recently opened and rebuilt), an area of traditional architecture with old houses, a local market and many small bars in the pedestrian zone. Transfer to Kruja, the historic town offering panoramic views from a hilltop 600 m above sea level. The tour begins with a visit to the castle, the citadel of national hero Gjergj Kastrioti-Skanderbeg. Built at an altitude of 548 m, it offers spectacular views of the surrounding area. Visit the castle. After sightseeing, it's time to get closer to Albanian traditions and way of life by visiting the bazaar. Transfer back to the hotel.
