Full description

We meet up in the morning at 06.45am at the dive shop in Tamarindo, we gear up and go to the beach. There we board the boat that takes us on a 40 minutes ride to Las Catalinas Islands, where we perform 2 guided snorkel sessions. We are usually back in Tamarindo at around 12.30pm.


The Catalinas Islands are an archipelago of islands that offer around 20 different dive and snorkel spots. We can spot reef sharks, different kinds of rays (including manta rays, best time of the year January to March), turtles, as well as a big variety of fish, octopuses, nudibranch and much more.

Meet at Diving Nomads. The office is located in the town center, in front of National Bank. You will see a big parking area with a 2 floor building, we are on the upper floor.

we were 2 snorkeling in a full groop of scuba divers. It appeared the locations were selected more for the divers than the snorkelers. Than being said , we did see .an very large Manta Ray

The crew was very nice, the sea was stormy so the trip was exhausting. I didn't see any manta rays or large animals, but I did see fish. Visibility in the water was poor.
