Our experience with this crew was simply amazing from start to finish. The trip began with a smaller boat picking us up from the shore, which was a smooth and convenient way to start the adventure. We then transferred to a beautiful catamaran and sailed to a nearby beach, where we had the opportunity to take some stunning photos. Snorkeling was a highlight, as we were surrounded by schools of colorful fish. The journey back was equally memorable, with dolphins playfully swimming and jumping near the boat, making the sunset view even more spectacular. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring everyone had a fantastic time. Overall, the experience was a perfect 10/10. Highly recommend!"

It was an all around great afternoon. The guys on the boat were always asking if anyone needed a drink (or water, soda, etc). The buffet lunch was surprisingly good.

Full description

Sail along Costa Rica’s Gold Coast on a sunset cruise, passing Guanacaste’s exotic bays, white sand beaches, and tropical jungles. Gaze off the bow with a cold tropical drink in your hand as you scan the seas for dolphins, sea turtles, flying fish, or even a breaching whale. Stop in a tranquil bay, drop anchor, and enjoy a swim. Snorkel, or take a walk down a deserted white sand beach. While you’re enjoying the sun, sand, and sea, the crew will prepare a lunch of chicken or pasta salad, fruit, chips, pico de gallo, guacamole, and homemade chocolate chip cookies. As the sun sets, you’ll see the ever-changing colors of the sky, while enjoying your favorite drink from the boat’s open bar. Capture the moment to show your family and friends the wonders of a Costa Rican sunset.

Important information

Know before you go

  • This is a barefoot tour and you won’t be able to wear sandals or other types of footwear on the catamaran. Please don’t arrive hungry, as the meal will be served approximately 2 hour 30 minutes after departure.
  • Others things to consider bringing with you include a towel, sunblock/sunscreen, a bathing suit, a hat with chin strap, and a special snorkel mask if you wear prescription glasses.

Just a heads up, you will be picked up at the beach by a dingy boat, then transported to the catamaran that’s anchored offshore. I didn’t mind but other visitors were not a fan of this idea. The catamaran is big with plenty of space. Open bar was available at all times. We sailed for about an hour and saw dolphins. We then anchored at a cove for about three hours where people began to snorkel, dive off the catamaran and swim. Dinner and snacks were provided. The sunset was beautiful.
