Relax all afternoon on board a catamaran moored in the bay of Playa Tamarindo in Guanacaste. Enjoy an open bar and lunch onboard, sunning trampolines, and equipment to snorkel, kayak, or paddle board.Begin your trip with pickup from the beach. Relax as the skiff delivers you to the decks of the catamaran. Gently travel over the crystal blue waters of the Bay of Playa Tamarindo in Guanacaste, Costa Rica, where the engine will be used sparingly for a peaceful afternoon on the water.Lay back at the sunning and lounging trampolines of the boat, or take advantage of the equipment on board, including snorkeling gear, kayaks, and paddle boards. Hop into the ocean for a swim, or duck underwater to take in the wildlife below.Next, enjoy a typical local lunch, prepared by a French chef de cuisine, and served on board the catamaran. Rinse off in the freshwater showers on board, then sip on drinks from the open bar. Lay back and take in the warm sun on the sunning trampolines, suspended over the water.Finally, begin the slow journey back to port while you take in the sunset over the waters.

Sail along Costa Rica’s Gold Coast on a sunset cruise, passing Guanacaste’s exotic bays, white sand beaches, and tropical jungles. Gaze off the bow with a cold tropical drink in your hand as you scan the seas for dolphins, sea turtles, flying fish, or even a breaching whale. Stop in a tranquil bay, drop anchor, and enjoy a swim. Snorkel, or take a walk down a deserted white sand beach. While you’re enjoying the sun, sand, and sea, the crew will prepare a lunch of chicken or pasta salad, fruit, chips, pico de gallo, guacamole, and homemade chocolate chip cookies. As the sun sets, you’ll see the ever-changing colors of the sky, while enjoying your favorite drink from the boat’s open bar. A trip to Tamarindo is not complete without a day spent on the ocean, and there is no better way to enjoy the beauty and wonder of the Costa Rica sea than with Blue Dolphin Sailing. Then we will moor in a cove for water activities including: * Swimming * Snorkeling * Kayaks * Stand-up paddle board * Pool noodles After the water activities we will enjoy a freshly prepared meal aboard the boat and then we weigh anchor and head back to Tamarindo. Explore the rich biodiversity of the mangrove forests located near Tamarindo on a guided kayaking tour. Discover local wildlife including howler monkeys on an adventurous outdoor activity. Start the tour at the Tamarindo Estuary with a short training session to get comfortable in the kayak. Paddle your way into the mangrove forest where you will be able to see local fauna in their natural habitat. Arrive at a part of the mangrove forest where a troop of howler monkeys can be found. Listen to their distinctive calls in a serene atmosphere. Encounter a variety of other local wildlife including birdlife and fish species. Afterward, head back to the starting point on the shoes of Tamarindo.

You will be picked up from your hotel and driven to Playa Minas or a nearby beach that is home to nesting turtles. Playa Minas constitutes one of Costa Rica's most important nesting sites. Between October and April , large numbers of turtles migrate to this region. It remains one of the last untouched beaches in the world, giving it a remote paradise feel. There will be a 700-meter hike in the dark with infrared flashlights provided by your tour guide. Once arriving at the beach, the guide will educate the group on how to respectfully navigate the area. You will see the black turtles, and if you are lucky, the rare leatherback turtles. The leatherback sea turtle is the largest sea turtle in the world, weighing over 1,200 pounds and averaging almost 8 feet in length.

Embark on an exclusive adventure along the pristine beaches and rugged landscapes near Tamarindo with our ATV or Buggy Tour. This tour begins with a convenient pickup from Tamarindo (if selected), followed by a comprehensive orientation. Here, you'll receive detailed instructions and take a test ride to ensure you're comfortable with your vehicle and the terrain. Once you're ready, the real adventure begins. You'll navigate your ATV or buggy through a mix of beachscapes and mountainous areas, heading towards the beautiful Playa Zapotillal. This tour is tailored to your preferences, allowing for stops at two different beaches where you can choose to swim or simply capture the moment with photographs.

You can appreciate the ocean from above and below, with time to snorkel in a remote beautiful beach away from large tour groups. Alternatively, take the opportunity to paddle board or swim, do some snorkeling, enjoy the ocean with our pool noodles, just before cruising back to land while the sun sets. We will head up north towards Playa Minas, which is a beach that does not receive many tourists, despite its incredible beauty. It is a white sand beach with gentle waves and few rocks. It is surrounded by huge mountains. It is also known as a nesting place for black turtles. While we are anchored you can enjoy our Stand Up Paddle, do some snorkeling or just enjoy being in the water, relaxing on one of our pool noodles. Afterwards, we will call you back to the boat to serve our meal which is Rice with Vegetables, Flavored Ground Beans, Chicken Fajitas, Salad, Sauteed Vegetables, Season Fruits and Dessert. Of course, you will also enjoy our open bar during the whole trip.

Come and enjoy two hours of fun surfing the waves of Tamarindo with us at Tamarindo Surf & Tours. This lesson is suitable for all levels. Your instructors will begin by providing a surfing introduction on the beach and then head into the water to catch plenty of good waves. You will learn safety, the basics of surfing, and how to stand up and catch your first wave. If you're at an intermediate level, enhance your skills with personalized tips from a local professional surfer. The lesson typically lasts 1.5-2 hours, depending on the number of participants assigned to each instructor. We provide the surfboard and rash guard for your convenience. Palo Verde National Park encompasses one of the most important wetlands of Central America. You’ll have the opportunity to explore its varied habitats on this half-day jungle river cruise. Throughout the year resident and migrant water birds sharing the mangroves and marshlands with white- tailed deer, coyote, white-nosed coatimundi, howlers, white-faced monkeys, iguanas, and crocodiles.
