It was a fantastic excursion away from the bustle of Tamarindo. We only saw one other boat the entire time we were in the water and it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. The guide points out things you would never see yourself - like a sleeping raccoon, sleeping bats, birds and monkeys. Definitely had a great time!
Hilmar was an excellent guide. He took the time to stop and point out different sites and gave explanations of what it was and what was happening.

Full description
Start the tour at the Tamarindo Estuary with a short training session to get comfortable in the kayak. Paddle your way into the mangrove forest where you will be able to see local fauna in their natural habitat.
Arrive at a part of the mangrove forest where a troop of howler monkeys can be found. Listen to their distinctive calls in a serene atmosphere. Encounter a variety of other local wildlife including birdlife and fish species.
Afterward, head back to the starting point on the shoes of Tamarindo.
