Full description
Meet your guide at the Henrietta Bus Station and start with a short briefing about the hike. Then begin your 3-hour hiking experience by walking through sugarcane fields to reach the entrance to the canyon, admiring the stunning landscape around you. Make your way down to the canyon, and after 30 minutes of walking you’ll reach the first of many waterfalls. Take the chance to swim in the natural pools carved out of the rock. Learn about the plants, the animals, and the history of Mauritius from your guide. Finish your tour at Tamarind Falls, the most impressive waterfall, before returning to your original start point.

Marc was a super nice and patient guide. We were a little bit late, but he still waited for us and has sent us his live location to be able to join the group. It was a nice trip. The duration was quite accurate, but it was more relaxed than I thought (3 hours for ca. 3km). We’ve spent a a lot of time to take some pictures of the waterfalls. I would definitely recommend to book a guide for this tour as it can get slippery here and there. Besides that it’s sometimes hard to find the right way and Marc’s stories were really great. So we learned a lot on the way to the waterfalls.

Our guide Mark was excellent! He was helpful, he gave us eloborate info about the Dina and Flore during the hike and even gave the hike a personal touch by telling us a bit more about himself. The hike was wonderful. It was worth it. The view and sights were magnificent! And swimming near a waterfall was amazing!
