On this full-day excursion from Tallinn you’ll have the chance to experience Estonia's wilderness and its history. With your guide you’ll explore old military sites and monasteries as well as see the beautiful coastal scenery of western Estonia.
What to Expect
Head into Estonia’s wild wild West and discover the country’s hidden wonders, including its most romantic waterfall, an old imperial Russian gun battery, the coastal cliffs around the military town of Paldiski, and the lunar landscape of the Murru prison quarry.
The military town of Paldiski is less than an hour’s drive from Tallinn. You’ll find that that you don't have to venture far from the city for a complete change of scenery! On this tour you’ll have the opportunity to explore places that range from an old Soviet army base to a forgotten medieval monastery fort.
Some of the site you’ll visit during this excursion include the Keila-Joa waterfall, the limestone cliffs at Türisalu and Pakri, and the Padise monastery.
You’ll also have a chance to see the incredible lunar-like landscape of the Murru prison quarry and the lake there. Other stops include the windpark at Pakri and a visit to Estonia’s sandy coastline.
