Planning Your Tallinn Visit

When's the best time to visit?

Tallinn is stunning year-round, but if you're hoping for certain weather then you might want to be plan carefully. The city turns into a wonderful snowy winterland throughout autumn and the Christmas markets are well-worth a visit. But the days are short and you need to wrap up warm. If you want a sunnier stay, then a trip in the summer months is for you. The attractions are open for longer and you might even catch the medieval festivals.

How expensive is a trip to Tallinn?

If you're worried about visiting Tallinn on a budget, then there's no need. It's easy to stay and eat cheaply around the city and none of the must-see sights will cost an arm and a leg. Just be savvy with often-expensive taxi charges and overly touristy restaurants.

What People Are Saying About Tallinn

Fantastic guide and a fantastic experience; great concept!

The idea of a Food Tour is perfect! As an amateur cook, I like finding new recipes. The guide this day was Jesper. He was not only helpful with Tallinn's cuisine, but also it's history and culture. This was an experience of great value!

Excellent trip trough Estonia's wonders.

The tour through the Lahemaa park offers a very comprehensive introduction to that breathtaking area in the North. We had a great time with our guide Jüri aka George, who was always enthusiastic and knowledgeable: we made him lots of questions and learned a lot.

If you want to see Tallin in a short time do this

We have been in Tallin for one day, our cruise ship stopped there. We had a really good time together with our lovely guide. She showed us around and was totally doing everything in our pace, and that was very important since we were with an infant. I highly recommend everyone to take this trip. (I have been on excursions that was organized by the ship... believe me not even close.)

Everything was perfect - even the weather :)

The bike was nice. Riding my own -not so good one - at home makes me seriously consider buying a new bike. Our guide was really friendly!
