Let the pilot take you on a journey into the heart of the Alaska Range. Just when you think you've seen it all, be flown through 1 of 2 passes on either side of Denali. Emerge on the north side of the range to see a flattened tundra landscape stretching out before you. As your pilot turns the plane around to go back to the south side of the range, there it is, the Wickersham Wall: the 13,658-foot vertical North face of Denali. Add a glacier landing to your flight and experience the exhilaration of standing among the majestic peaks of the Alaska Range. Play in the snow, take photos, or just take it all in. Glacier landings add 30 minutes to the total tour duration.

Upon arrival, enjoy complimentary coffee, tea, or hot cocoa by the fireplace while watching a short flight video in our theater. After, receive a safety briefing and be assigned window seat. Then, take off toward the Alaska Range, flying over the beautiful Susitna Valley where you might spot moose and bears. Your skilled pilot will provide interesting stories and commentary while taking the group within 6 miles of Denali's massive summit. Upon entering the Alaska Range, head up the Tokisitna Glacier before heading west to view the impressive 44-mile (71 km) long Kahiltna Glacier, the longest in Denali National Park. During early parts of the summer, you can spot mountain climbers camping at Kahiltna Base Camp and perhaps ascending to the summit. The flight will then head east behind Mt. Huntington passing the south face of the majestic Denali, the tallest mountain in North America (20,310 feet or 6,190 meters) as well as Mt. Foraker (17,402 feet or 5,304 meters) and Mt. Hunter (14,573 feet or 4372 meters). The pilot will be sure to point out the famous peaks, Moose's Tooth and Bear's Tooth before heading into the Sheldon Amphitheater, over the magnificent Ruth Glacier and through the worlds deepest, the Great Gorge.

Relax on the deck as you await your flight’s departure, then follow your pilot guide to the aircraft and listen to a short safety briefing. Board your single-engine, high-wing plane, where everyone gets a window seat to make the most of the views, as well as a personal headset to listen to your guide’s expert narration. Then it’s time to hit the skies for an awe-inspiring one-hour flight amongst the jagged peaks and glaciers on the southern side of the Alaska Range. It doesn’t matter which side of the plane you’re on, since every seat provides stunning, sprawling views across the landscape. Each flight is customized for the very best views according to the weather and includes a flyover of the Great Gorge, the Don Sheldon Amphitheater, and Ruth Glacier. With the addition of a glacier landing, the total duration of the tour becomes 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Be greeted by a guide and friendly sled dogs as you get ready to hit secluded trails. Refuel with cookies and hot chocolate. Just an hour's drive north of Anchorage and only 45 minutes north of Palmer, the area near Willow offers a magical place to learn about mushing before you continue your adventure out to the private trails. Meet the dogs and watch their energy levels skyrocket as your guide gets the team ready to run. All the dogs in your team have either run the famous Iditarod thousand-mile race or are actively training to run it one day. Go through a safety briefing with your guide before settling into your sled. Notice the noise level drop as you take off down private training trails. Feel the dogs’ focus and determination as they power around corners, and up and over hills. Soak in the natural sounds around you as you immerse yourself in peaceful solitude. See Mt. Foraker (17,400 feet), and Mt. Hunter (14,573 feet). Fly over the winding Kahiltna Glacier, the longest glacier in Denali National Park (45 miles long and 3 miles wide). Then, fly along to the climber's Base Camp located at 7,200 feet on the southeast fork of the Kahiltna Glacier. Spot for climbers as they traverse the glacier and make their way to the West Buttress on Denali's flank. Grand Option (1.5 hours)Make a complete circle of Denali by air. See the south side of Denali, including the Kahiltna Glacier, Denali’s famous west buttress, Sheldon Amphitheater, Ruth Glacier, and the Great Gorge. Then fly across the divide to see Denali's incredible Wickersham Wall.

Hop in the van for a short drive and get to know your small group of a maximum of 7 travelers. Get ready for your guided walk on one of the many beautiful trails on the north side of the Alaska range. Learn about the animals, people, and plants of Denali from your expert, local guide. Marvel at the outstanding natural landscape as you traverse the trail. Enjoy stopping for some rest and conversation along the way, and even pick some berries in season. Bring your camera and curiosity about this incredible landscape. After completing the trail, relax in the van as you're driven back to your Denali accommodation.

Take a summertime sled ride near Willow in a 2-seater cart specially designed for dog mushing. Be greeted by a guide and a yard full of excited dogs. Get away from noisy motors and traffic on a secluded trail. Later, take a nature walk and see a demonstration of winter sledding gear. Just an hour drive north of Anchorage, and only 45 minutes north of Palmer, come meet the dogs and watch their energy levels skyrocket as your guide gets the team ready to go. Then, hit private trails for a 1-2 mile run, depending on weather conditions, and be fully immersed in the wild. The carts are 100% dog-powered so you can take in the natural sounds around you. Keep your eyes peeled as you may catch a glimpse of a moose, fox, lynx, black bear, or bald eagle. Make several stops along the way to give the dogs a chance to cool down and take photos with them. Once back in the kennel, watch the dogs energetically dive into kiddie pools and zip around. They'll usually make their way over to you for a cuddle or two before taking off again. Treat yourself to some cookies and water to rehydrate. Next, head out on a nature walk to a wooden pavilion with views of Denali for a hands-on presentation of the training gear used in wintertime. We give every driver of a machine a personal safety speech and spend time showing you how to operate your equipment safely. Our tours depart right from our office on Hatcher Pass. Upon arrival, check in at our office where you can enjoy a complimentary cup of coffee, utilize the restroom facilities, and get properly equipped in our heated space. -> Your experienced Alaskan tour guide will personally provide a safety introduction, walking you through all the essential information for operating our UTVs. -> After the briefing, depart from our office and embark on an exciting journey. You'll splash through creeks, search for wildlife, and ascend to the high reaches of the Talkeetna mountain range, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the snow-capped mountains. Experience exciting ziplines, suspension bridges, a rappel, and a spiral staircase on this enchanting tour! Your zipline adventure begins at our office in Talkeetna. Check in with our friendly local staff and board the DZT shuttle for a scenic three-mile drive to the forested ridges above the mighty Susitna River Valley. Upon arrival at our course, you will meet your certified guides and get outfitted in top-quality gear. Then you head for “zipline ground school” to receive a basic orientation. The pace of the three-hour tour is varied, mixing speed and excitement as you zip through the beautiful northern boreal forest, with time to pause and gaze out from viewing platforms and along walks across the long aerial bridges that take in Denali and the expanse of the Alaska Range. Your guides will share educational moments about the boreal forest and topographical features including ridges, ravines, kettle ponds, and the braided Chulitna and Susitna valleys. The history of Talkeetna runs deep and includes flying and mountaineering in the Alaska Range, gold mining and the quirky local characters. Each guide has their own personal story and who knows what Alaskan tidbits you will be treated to?! There will be numerous opportunities to glimpse the mountain vistas from the zipline, viewing platforms and suspended sky bridges, allowing ample time for picture taking. There are plenty of photo opportunities – ask us about it! The final and longest zip of the tour will span close to 600 feet – with most of the ride suspended over our “Reflection Pond” – landing on the final platform six feet off the ground with an easy stair exit and a short drive back to downtown Talkeetna.
