Full description
Your first ever bubble tea should be extra special – and on this tour, your host will be able to show you where to get the best in town. Also on this tour, you can experience a Feng shui inspired temple, a beautiful fine arts park, as well as an authentic market where the locals do their daily shopping. Visit Taipei highlights such as the stunning Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, with all its spectacular pomp and ceremony. You’ll also discover some hidden gems that only locals know, such as the reflexology park where you can walk on pebbles to improve your well-being. Your host will tell you the stories behind all the places you visit, and along the way, you can enjoy some delicious local snacks.  In the temple, admire the images of lions and dragons carved in stone. Wander where locals worship agricultural gods and watch as people offer the gods gifts of food and flowers to grant them good fortune. Your host can tell you about the Confucian principles that guided the design of the Taoist temple. In the market, you can taste the foods that locals love. Exotic vegetables, fresh and dried meats, surprising seafood, cooked meals, baked goods, dried fruits and more. The vendors will love to welcome you and offer you samples of their merchandise, especially the dried fruits. What will be your favorite? The dried mango or the sweet roselle flower? The local hosts on your tour are all great storytellers and can’t wait to share some unique insights and personal anecdotes with you. Also, ask as many questions as you want. Your host is a true local and can give you great advice on how to make the most of the rest of your stay in Taipei, including how to use the metro and rent the public U-bikes.
