As a solo traveler, it was a very enjoyable experience to walk through a bit of Taipei’s cultural history. I was fortunate to have a one-to-one experience which allowed a more personable and pleasant experience. Walking through old alleys such as Herb Land and the nearby old market was interesting and insightful to the city’s growth.

This is an amazing tour run by a fascinating woman June. She walks you around the temple and the narrow streets explaining all about the history and culture. It was so interesting to talk with her about lots of different matters and she even invited me to join her to meet her friends! I absolutely loved this tour and learned so much! Definitely recommend this tour to anyone! Tip: try the bitter tea! ;)

I cannot go on without expressing my experience about this tour. With sincere thanks to Agnes, our local private 2-hour tour was fantastic! We arrived in Taipei early in the morning. The tour was at noon and it provided us the appropriate amount of time to eat lunch and prepare before the tour so that we get to know Taipei’s local culture and non-tourist spots on the day of our arrival. The tour was just the right of amount of time. She met us at the meeting point exit 1 at Lungshan Temple MRT station on top of the stairs. However, there were 2 exits with the same exit description. She was genuinely patient and understanding as she had experienced this in her previous tour. She expressed she will inform her management about this confusion. At the initial onset, she asked us about what we want on this tour. She tailored the tour to Taiwan’s history, and descrbed Taiwan today's modern society. She is knowledgeable and well-informed.
