Private Night Tour: Taipei City Highlights

Our driver/guide was Steven - he had much energy and listened to what we said in order to know what we wanted to do in Taipei. He picked us up promptly from our hotel and we discussed what we did and didn't want to do. We went to the Bao'an temple - stunning at night, then to a local night market. Steven told us upfront how much money we had to spend on food - we appreciated knowing that! Steven answered our endless questions as well as having conversation to get to know each other. We tasted some delicious local food and enjoyed a small calm local market. Then we went to see Longshan temple at night and went to another local market to find dessert. We ended the evening with a hike up the steps of Elephant walking trail - the weather was perfect! We had an interesting night seeing some of Old Taipei.

Ich hatte die Tour aufgrund eines stop-overs von 8 Stunden gebucht. Würde von Taipeh 101 abgeholt (war vom Flughafen früher mit Shuttle ... andere Buchung) sind dann mit MRT eine Station zum Elephant Mountain. Nach Auf-/Abstieg würde ich von Auto und zweiten Führer abgeholt. Ich wollte dann nur noch einen Tempel sehen, weil zu müde. Wären auf meine Wünsche eingegangen, was ich alles sehen will. Beim nächsten Stop-Over gerne wieder.

The Bao'an Temple is stunning at night. The best in Taipei. As for the Elephant Hiking Trail, be ready for the hike, the steps leading to the viewing deck is no joke! But the view of the cityscape and Taipei 101 is amazing! It's definitely worth the hike, I promise. Excellent night tour! There's even a wifi connection on-board which is totally awesome. Our driver/tour guide, Alan Yen, was an awesome tour guide, very knowledgable of the places we've been to. There's also plenty of bottled water on-board to help us stay hydrated during our tour.
