More than that, we immerse our visitors in the heart of the Polynesian culture. Join us on the Honu Kea, our glass bottom boat. Always in small groups, our excursions garantie intimacy and high comfort. The boat offers shade and an easy way in & out from the water with its ladder at the back. The tour starts in a turtle sanctuary where you'll be able to swim among them. You might see Ohure Pio, a green turtle that was rescued by Taina in the past. Others joined it and now about 20 of them are living by our side. Keep your eyes opened as you can also see beautiful corals, gorgeous fish and even eagle rays. Then, discover sacred sculptures called "tiki", that were brought into the sea. Those represent our divinities and are very important, especially on the spiritual plane. The last stop takes place on a sand bar for a relax swim around grey rays and the famous black tip reef sharks. During our tours we focus on the animal's well being by visiting them during the less crowded moments and by navigating at a calm pace. Next, we welcome you to our family's private Motu. It is a coral island entirely at your disposal where you'll enjoy a delicious meal with fresh and local ingredients. Start by tasting the Rum of the island, you'll love it ! Then, learn how to make the Tahitian raw fish salad with coconut milk, try some chicken kebabs and grilled fish and seasonal fruits. Depending on what our local fishermen catch (swordfish, Opah or Meka), you'll enjoy fresh fish directly caught from the Polynesian waters. After lunch, appreciate the calm and tranquility in the shade, on the beach or discover more by swimming in the coral garden around the Motu. Tahiti: Unique East Coast Half Day Tour

Tahiti: Unique East Coast Half Day Tour

This fascinating tour of the North East Coast of Tahiti Nui takes us to the most historically rich corner of Tahiti Nui and encompasses all that the island has to offer. Natural sites, breathtaking coastal and volcanic scenery, view points and local encounters are just a few of this tour's spectacular features. The East Coast is often referred to as the Jurassic coast and will interest anyone who likes history and natural beauty. The dramatic volcanic coastal scenery of the East Coast is in direct contrast to the classic lagoon and reef scenery of the Western coast. It is from the Bay of Matavai that Tahiti was discovered by Captain Wallis. On the beach, walk in the footsteps of Captains Cook, Bougainville and Bligh, the mutineers of HMS Bounty, the first Protestant missionaries and more recently Marlon Brando. The 1962 version of Mutiny on the Bounty was filmed from this Bay. The light house and monuments to the Bounty and Cooks mission to observe the transiting of Venus provide a perfect opportunity to learn about how the first Europeans presence in Polynesia was felt by the natives of the day and its repercussions since. Visit the ancient Leper Colony in a hidden valley, where we can meet the locals and feed the blue eyed, river eels. On week days watching local sculptors at work as they create the wooden Tiki statues in their workshop is a chance not to be missed to buy directly from the craftsman themselves. The silk screening factory to watch the printing and creation of beach wraps, famous flowery dresses and shirts of the Polynesians is another wonderful opportunity that this tour provides (on weekdays) to get up close to the local population and go home with a hand and locally made traditional souvenir. The view point of Tahara or Squirmish Hill, as it was named by Captain Wallis, provides a breathtaking view of Papeete with spectacular views of Moorea in the distance. The highlight of the tour is the spectacular and breath taking waterfall of Vaimahuta, in the Tiare valley, as well as our famous ‘blow hole’ on the coast with stunning views down the East Coast of Tahiti Nui.

Natalie was an excellent guide! She knew Papeete so well! So knowledgeable in the history and legends of this beautiful island! Her van is super comfortable and could hold all of luggage. It was just my husband and myself with a lot of bags. We got off our cruise ship at 10am. Spent all day driving around with Natalie until she dropped us off at the airport! We felt like we saw all the must sees and more. Natalie knew how to dodge the big tour buses too! She is delightful! And an excellent driver! Took us to a delicious restaurant on the water for lunch. Our day to see Papeete could not have been better. I’d give more than 5 stars if I could. She and her husband are the best for Papeete Island tours!

Wonderful, fantastic, simply unforgettable. Thanks to Caro our guide and our captain you made this day perfect. Turtles, leopard rays, snorkeling in the coral garden, and among stingrays and black tip sharks. Excellent meal on the motus. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

What a great way to see the outskirts of Tahiti Nui and Tahiti Iti. Nathalia spoke very good English and she was very knowledgeable about historical and current Tahitian events. I would recommend this trip to anyone that wants to see the most of the island.

The captain of the boat was great ! The trip was really good although, honestly it was very expensive for an hour trip. Plus charging to park the car at the location was a joke !

Pauline local knowledge was exceptional. We saw the major sites as well as explanations on this like religion, local politics, flowers etc.
