I had a wonderful time doing the hike. Cliff from OTC is an accomplished, fantastic guide with a main concern about safety of the hikers. He took good care of me, showed the tricky areas of the trail, and the day was a perfect hiking activity full of beautiful, wonderful views from the marvellous city of Cape Town. I plan to return to South Africa, and definitely I plan to do the hiking again along with some friends; but definitely I would book the hiking tour with GET YOUR GUIDE but I would request Cliff as our guide. He is synonym of safety and enjoyment during the activity. Thank you Get Your Guide and Cliff from OTC for such delightful day of hiking.
The tour was very good and we were grateful for our guide who made the journey fun and even squeezed in a trip to Seal Island. The only main issue is the exclusions details. This information should be more prominent as although the ticket to Table Mountain is included, what is not included is entry to the Cape of Hope (303 ZAR for non-SA residents) and Penguin Colony (175 ZAR) this caused some confusion and with advance notification this could be avoided. If possible once the activity is booked there should be confirmation of the additional fees before the trip occurs. All in all the trip was good.
While at the beginning we were very upset as the tour operator Ktt told ud he did not received our booking and did not picked up early morning, after 1 hour they sent us a guide who was not supposed to work that day but helped them to solve the issue. Serge has been a fantastic guide that day, he decided with us what to see before and later and explained us very useful info concerning the country and their culture.He is really nice, knowledgeable and very experienced with tour around Capetown but also in the whole South Africa. We will come back and will call him again for sure
We were a family group of 4 with twen kids running fast and mommy going slow. Nick was a great guide entertaining the twens while giving mom the time to go as slow as she needed to be: 600m height on 3 km distance. Up on the hill, Nick showed the freshly opened protea flower to us and explained quite sth about everything we could see. Thanx for a lovely morning
It’s a great day spent seeing the main tourist sights all in one day. Our guide, Cornelius, was fun and knowledge. I highly recommend this tour if it’s your first trip to CapeTown.
