Start your full-day tour of Table Mountain, Penguins and Cape of Good Hope/Cape Point with pick up at your hotel in Cape Town followed by a brief city orientation tour and a stop in the Bo Kaap for photos with its colourful houses and learn about their history. From there we head to the Table Mountain cable car station to take the cable car to the top of the mountain for unforgettable views from this 7 Wonder of Nature. Drive along the Atlantic coast, stopping at Maiden's Cove for photos with the backdrop of the 12 Apostles mountain range. Enjoy the spectacular views from Chapman's Peak Drive, one of the world's most scenic routes and enjoy a photo stop at the viewpoint. Visit Boulder's Penguins Colony at Boulder's Beach and see approximately 2500 African Penguins, before reaching the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. Once in the Cape of Good Hope, enjoy a guided tour at this very popular landmark and take a photo behind the Cape of Good Hope name board. From there we travel to Cape Point, where you can hike to the top of the lighthouse or take the Flying Dutchman funicular to the top. This is the official meeting point of the Two Ocean Currents: Cold Benguela Current and the Warm Agulhas Current. The sailboats Esperance and Serenity One follow the wind for this cruise, and therefore the destination is dependent on the weather at the time of the cruise. Your captain will let you know before departure your expected direction, but a typical Cape Town summer wind blows from the southeast. First, you'll leave the harbor and sail across Table Bay towards Milnerton Lighthouse, returning to the protection of the Granger Bay in the lee of Table Mountain to watch the sun set, and then motor back to the waterfront. In the winter months, with the Northwester prevalent, the direction will likely be towards the Clifton coastline or the Robben Island Coastline. This cruise will also return to Granger Bay and the Waterfront. On some occasions the weather may require the use of a motorboat, in which case the boat will cruise slowly along the Atlantic seaboard towards Clifton beach and then return.
