The tour with Eva was fantastic. You can walk around on your own but I dont think You would learn very much. Eva was very knowledgeable, even our teenagers thought it was interesting! We really enjoyed this tour and highly recommend it.

Meet your certified guide at the entrance gate of the Neapolis Archaeological Park and visit the most important ancient Greek and Roman monuments in Syracuse. Discover the history and archaeological importance of this ancient Greek sight from your knowledgeable guide.
During your walking tour, see the ancient Greek theatre, cut in the rock of the Temenite Hill, and explore the "Latomie del Paradiso", an ancient stone quarry with beautiful local flora.
Next, marvel at the legendary "Ear of Dionysius", located inside the quarries. Be amazed by this grotto famed for its shape and echoing sounds. Finish your tour with a visit to the altar of Hieron and the Roman amphitheater.

Meeting point

The meeting point will be at the main entrance gate of the Neapolis Archaeological Park (Via Romagnoli/Viale Augusto), in front of the ticket office and near the San Nicolò ai Cordari Medieval church. Your guide will have a "Hermes Sicily" logo. The admission fee to the archaeological park is not included. Please purchase your tickets before reaching the meeting point.
