What to Expect
Limited to a small group (of a maximum of 10 guests), this day tour takes you inside magnificent valleys, rivers and gorges of this World Heritage-listed National Park. Experience the true beauty of the Blue Mountains where most tourists never tread, immerse yourself in the spectacular wilderness areas of a unique region, that you can't appreciate without getting your shoes dirty (so the speak). Starting no later then 07:30 to avoid traffic, you'll head straight off to Australia's own Grand Canyon for an eventful day packed with close wildlife encounters, vistas and walks. The tour highlights are many, and include:
  • Wild kangaroos, and an abundance of local birds
  • Shorter and longer walks (app. 1-2 hours, pending on guests' agility and the weather) to discover the true beauty of the Jamison and Gross Valleys  Austalia's own Grand Canyon
  • A gourmet Aussie picnic lunch amoung the Cliff Mallee Gum and Mountains Devils of the Grose Valley
  • Sightseeing including the iconic Three Sisters, Narrowneck and other spectacular lookouts
  • Visit to Featherdale Wildlife Park for a close encounter with all Aussie animals
  • Return via the scenic Bell's Line of Road, Bilpin (the fruit bowl of NSW), the Mt Tomah Botanic Gardens and the Hawkesbury River area
You'll arrive at your hotel at approximately 17:30. This tour purposefully avoids known tourist spots or irrelevant townships some lazy operators routinely include in their itinerary. Instead you'll venture out to better and shop-free lookouts, and take more time soaking up the atmosphere in stunning rainforest gorges, ferny grottos, swimming holes and see a series of cascades. Where most operators will take you to and from the Blue Mountains along the same route, this tour follows a circuit route, with a return to Sydney via the scenic Bell's Line of Road. This tour takes all toll ways whenever one is available to minimize travel time spent in the bus.
