Full description
After collection from your Swakopmund or Walvis Bay accommodation, your 4x4 dune tour will begin. This experience will take you south of the city, along the Namibian coastline, starting at the Walvis Bay lagoon, a Ramsar site which boasts diverse bird life including masses of flamingos.
Learn about the Walvis Bay Salt Refinery, from where you will depart into the Namib Naukluft Park. This park is the largest game park in Africa, and the 4th-largest in the world. It will be from this location that you will enter the dunes of Sandwich Harbour.
Your guide will make numerous strategic stops for you to enjoy the scenery, and will provide plenty of opportunities for spectacular photographs. You will also enjoy a refreshment break during which you will be served with drinks and hearty snacks, surrounded by the beauty of sand and sea. Following your tour, you will be dropped off to your point of origin.
