We had the best experience this morning on our trip. We were picked up from our hotel on time, taken to our tour guide and the longtail boat, and made our way to the pig island. We were there for 1.5 hours, which was plenty of time to explore, meet the pigs (including lots of babies), and spend time relaxing on the beach. The early start of the trip allowed us to be with the pigs before it got busier later in the morning! We then went to a great spot for snorkelling, with lots of fish amongst the coral. Finally, we enjoyed a delicious lunch on a beautiful beach before heading back to Koh Samui. We were lucky to have the boat to ourselves, and had an excellent and considerate tour guide, who gave us lots of refreshments and was flexible with timings to cater to what we wanted. The organisation was excellent. Thank you! Definitely recommend!

Full description

Pick-Up We will pick you up in an air-conditioned minibus for the morning program around 08:15 a.m. at your specified accommodation, and then guide you to the boat harbor at Thong Krut, in the south of Koh Samui. Step by step, all other participants are collected for this day trip until the entire travel group is completely together. Pig Island After a short crossing from Koh Samui, we reach the nearby neighboring island. Welcome to the beautiful island of Koh Mudsum. Here the world stands still because there is still no civilization, running water, or electricity. Amazingly, there are a few woolly pigs here on the white sand beach like in the Bahamas. Enough time, enjoy some quality time, swim or relax on the beach. Snorkeling We will anchor in the front of the neighboring island Koh Tan. Because of the still intact coral reef, the underwater world is special here. You will get the snorkeling equipment free of charge to explore the diverse species of sea creatures on calm seas with a clear view. Lunch In the meantime during our stay at Koh Tan, a delicious traditional lunch is freshly prepared for all participants at a small restaurant, directly on the white sandy beach, with an unforgettable view of the Gulf of Thailand. There is guaranteed to be something for every taste and you don't have to worry that it might be too spicy. Ship back to Koh Samui As soon as all participants are back and fully on board, we ship back to Koh Samui. The crossing back to Samui is beautiful, as the different island scenery will leave an unforgettable impression. Turtles and other sea creatures have often been spotted here. After a crossing of about 25 minutes, we are safely back at the pier where we started. Drop-Off We will pick you up around 2:00 p.m. in an air-conditioned minibus from the boat harbor in Thong Krut, and then guide you back to the accommodation you have deposited. Step by step, all other participants of the day trip will be dropped off until the entire tour group has completely reached their accommodations.

We had a great day on this trip. There wasn't really a guide as you were brought from one form of accommodation to another but we didn't need one. I dragged my husband along to this as I really wanted to see the pigs but it turned out that he enjoyed it too. Being on a long tail boat was amazing and we saw some beautiful views. The pigs were so cute, although I'd recommend picking your moments to stroke the babies when mum is near. It's common sense, really. We enjoyed the last stop to Koh Tan the most. The island was so quiet, it made a lovely change and the food was delicious. The water was the warmest I've ever felt. We had a little swim and didn't want to leave. We encountered rough seas on the way back due to a sudden storm. It was nerve wracking as waves were coming into the boat but the driver handled it expertly. It was quite the experience! We thoroughly enjoyed the excursion, felt it was great value for money and we were well taken care of throughout.
