Full description

Join an unforgettable 3-day trip to see the natural highlights of east Java. Visit Mount Bromo, the Madakaripura waterfall, and the Ijen crater. Day 1 Head straight to Bromo, where you’ll stay overnight in a Tosari village hotel. After a safety briefing and kit check, enjoy free time in the evening. Day 2 In the morning, travel by 4x4 vehicle to Mount Pananjakan to watch the sunrise from the viewpoint on the rim of the Tengger Caldera. Continue to the active Mount Bromo volcano to see the crater before heading back to the hotel for breakfast. Stop for lunch on the way to Banyuwangi, where you’ll check in at your hotel. Day 3 Start out early to see Ijen’s blue-flame panorama at its best. There is a tough descent down into the caldera to see the blue flames and to reach the turquoise lake. Head back up to the crater rim to take in the spectacular sunrise, before the descent back to the car.

  • A reasonable level of fitness is required to complete the hike up Mount Bromo. Apart from this, the trip is relatively easy as it is mostly done by car
  • The supplier will contact you prior to the trip to arrange the pickup location and time
  • Be sure to bring warm clothing, including a jacket, gloves, and sweater, as the temperature drops at the summit

Had a great trip!! We had an absolute blast with our tour guide Fami. Great guy and gave good insights as to what to do. By his advice for mt. Bromo rather than wait in an endless line of jeeps we went to the crater first to watch a beautiful sunrise. Definitely worth the lack of sleep!! Would highly recommend this trip.

He definitely knew the area and could partial routes away from the masses of tourists. It was the best thing we ever did. We would do it again! We are two girls alone travelling and felt very safe because of our guide Fahmi (hope I spell it well). He is very funny and kind, he helped us with everything. Bromo and Ijen are fantastic, something you need to see when in East Java! Also he took some nice pictures and moments for us. Just do it!
