What to Expect
No trip to Egypt is complete without a trip to the ancient pyramids, so we’re offering you the chance to experience the mysterious monuments and more on a full-day guided tour from El Sokhna Port.
The day starts with one of our friendly staff meeting you at the port, by the cruise exit door. You’ll then jump aboard one of our air-conditioned cars and make your way to Cairo.
Once there, you’ll visit the famous Egyptian Museum, which houses the largest collection of Egyptian artefacts in the world, including the magnificent treasures of Tutankhamen.
A traditional lunch at a local restaurant follows, before you head to the Plateau of Gaiz to see the wonders of the ancient world – the great Pyramids, and their mysterious guardian, the Sphinx.
To make your Pyramids experience complete, we’ll then head to the Western Plateau, where you can marvel at the Pyramids from a panoramic view, and take precious photos.
Then it’s off the Great Pyramid of Cheops before heading down the valley to where the mighty Sphinx stands along with its adjoining Mortuary Temple.
You will then learn about life in Egypt, with a short demonstration at a local shop introducing you to an art discovered by the natives – making paper from reeds.
After some souvenir shopping, its back to Sokhna.
