Well worth visiting and fun for the whole family, with different sights and smells throughout it was both interesting and at times creepy. As a family, all of us enjoyed the whole experience including our 7yr old son. Highly recommend this.

Full description

Explore the Tudor World Museum located in the center of the beautiful town of Stratford-upon-Avon, just meters from the world-famous RSC, and set within a historic 16th-century grade 2 building. Using historical settings, discover the secret lives of the Tudors and what life was really like during the time of William Shakespeare; Francis Drake; Elizabeth I, Henry VIII, and everyday people. Learn about the town where Shakespeare lived and the plagues that infected the town during his time. Stroll through a plague cottage set to discover how the plague was treated at the time. Sit in a Tudor dining room, lie on a Tudor bed, and visit the throne room. Get photos throughout the tour with the sets designed as accurately as possible. Discover if you are a witch or try writing with a quill. The kids can take a quiz during the tour to find out what they learned and get a small prize if they do well.

Thoroughly enjoyed my experience. I did both the museum and the ghost tour. The museum is very lovely and I enjoy that they've kept it mostly in its original setting as it provided a lovely atmosphere for the museum. Very educational and informational, and very suitable for families. It has a lovely immersive aspect to it as well, where you can try on costumes, sit on thrones and find out if you're a witch or not, which is pretty fun too. Would recommend! Ghost tour was also excellent and I really enjoyed the spooky atmosphere to it as well. Really great stories that we were told. Didn't really enjoy the guide very much, as they came off very rude at points and sometimes seemingly didn't know too much about the thing they were talking about, however the tour itself was fantastic and would definitely recommend!
