Strasbourg: Beer Tasting Walking Tour

6. Strasbourg: Beer Tasting Walking Tour

What could be better than a Beer Tour at the end of the day in Strasbourg? Because yes, in Alsace, good beers are made! What makes the difference? A region that brews hops, an ancient brewing culture and a recent passion for craft. I’m taking you on a late-afternoon aperitif tour to sample some of our region’s finest craft beers. On the program: 1 brewpub, 1 microbrewery and 1 bar from a major Alsatian brewery = 3 beers 25cl. This tour will also allow you to showcase our beautiful city by discovering the must-sees between our 3 stops. The choice of beers tasted will of course be conditioned by the seasons and the recipes of our brewers, which change regularly. I’m not going to offer you a Christmas beer in the middle of August! You’ll also discover one of our flagship dishes: tarte flambée. Please note: in our region, tarte flambée is eaten with the fingers, shared and preferably accompanied by a cold beer. If you’d like to continue the evening, I’ll give you the best tips for finding a good restaurant or bar.

What people are saying about Strasbourg

This tour was wonderful! Beautiful sights along the drive to the wineries. Both wineries we stopped at took credit card. The owner of Burckel Jung winery was amazing. You could tell she was very proud and truly loved what she did! I highly recommend. While at first I thought 4 hour tour would be too long, I do wish it had been about an hour or so longer.

A very interesting half day tour. Our guide informed us on the history and culture of the Alsace region as well as the particularities of the wineries! Two wine tastings (12 different wines!) led by the owners was a lovely experience.

Florence was an excellent guide. We visited two artisanal wineries and learned a lot about the history and wine making of Alsace. We also visited the town of Obernai, charming and typical of the region. A great afternoon!

Loubna was a great guide and the various foods we tried were fantastic. Cheeses, saucisses, bretzels, plus a fabulous lunch and a dessert of tarte flambee. Terrific day. Thank you so much.

Florence as knowledgeable and made sure we were taken care of during our entire day.
