What people are saying about Strahan
The ladies in the office and the crew were welcoming, professional and helpful. Although it rained for some of the cruise we managed to walk around Sarah Island and Heritage Walk without getting wet. The guides from The Round Earth Company were entertaining and brought life and vivid detail to the island's past convict history. Our skipper Andy was so knowledgeable, obliging and helpful, and we learned so much about the area, including its geography, nautical demographics, the history of the Piners, the Grining family, the struggle with the Gordon-Franklin Dam issue, the convicts, the Huon Pine, and so much more. The meal was delicious, as was the coffee and cake. We wouldn't hesitate to return to The Red Boat - well done to everyone concerned.
It was a Wonderful Experience, there was four of us travelling together, and even though it was raining, not all the time, it did not diminish our enjoyment of the things we saw like Sarah Island, and the Lady who strolled with us around the Island was amazing in her knowledge. The Lunch onboard was so enjoyable and delectable. I also enjoyed the video with the characters explaining about their lives in the past. Great Trip, Thank You Suzanne
The entire journey was delightful. The quiet running of the boat through the rainforest was a perfect time to reflect on the importance of our forests and ensuring their safekeeping. The food was fresh and plentiful, the commentary informative and the tour on Sarah Island engaging. A great day we will remember.
Very interesting Tour. Well worth the cost. Interesting sites to see. Staff gave excellent service. Lunch was excellent. I will definitely go on the Red boat again.
Every part of the cruise was ok. The guide on Sarah Island was unbelievable. The same in the rainforest. Lunch was spot on.
