It was a great experience a must do if you are visiting Stockholm. Elsa (unfortunately not an ice princess) did a tour in English which was fantastic! She shared loads of information that I would have probably missed walking around on my own. The cafe was good, we stopped for a cup of tea and a cake. There are lockers to leave your belongings if you needed to, we did not, but a great service. Fantastic visit.

Highly recommended! The ship is magnificent and you can see it from every angle across multiple floors. The museum is also very well organised, and there are other artifacts on display related to the ship and the story behind it. Would suggest to visit early in the morning, as it can get very crowded around noon and in the afternoon.

It is very impressive when you enter the great hall and stand in front of this colossus of a ship. The whole museum is practically laid out around the ship. The floors are at the level of the ship floors and give an impression of the interior and exterior. The replicas of the ship's rooms and the depictions of the glorifying or provocative wooden figures that adorned the railing were particularly worth seeing. On the ground floor, in small adjoining rooms, you get an impression of the fatal royal origin story, the context before the Thirty Years' War and the complex salvage work. The content is modern and interactive, so you get a feel for the time and the work. Also of interest is a room that illuminates the role of women in the 17th century/in shipping and comes up with astonishing insights. All in all, a museum worth seeing that you can/should visit with relatives and friends of all ages.
