Our guide was absolutely Fantastic, his knowledge was amazing when explaining the history. Every location was wonderful, even the business were lovely when we visited. I most definitely would recommend this this tour to anyone. It's a great way to see many Stockholm treasures while trying many Swedish delights. The only recommendation I have is having an option to tip electronically. Or a way to do it through the app. As I myself did not have any currency on me. I would have loved to have been able to tip my guide as he definitely deserved one. So bring some cash on your tour so you can tip.

Our guide Didi was lovely. She was genuinely friendly, very knowledgeable and full of fun facts about so many things. It was like taking a walk with a friend.

Full description

Our adventure begins in the heart of Gamla Stan, Stockholm's Old Town: from delicate herring dishes to savory local treats, we'll explore the flavors that have shaped Swedish cuisine for centuries.

We meet 2 minutes away from Gamla Stan metro station and before you start exploring the Old Town, we’ll stop by one of the most popular food carts where we get started with some healthy fats.

We'll have the opportunity to explore an old candy factory nestled in the heart of Gamla Stan: here we can witness skilled artisans crafting delectable candies right before our eyes and learn about the love between Swedes and sweets.

We’ll explain it all about the history of Stockholm and its Viking past.

You’ll try the best lingonberries, cucumber and experience the irresistible creaminess of our gourmet potato puree, made from locally sourced potatoes.

Following, we'll stroll through some of Stockholm's most charming streets, including the city's smallest thoroughfare.

Then, we'll enjoy an external view of the majestic Royal Palace.
Our journey continues in Norrmalm, a bustling modern district renowned for its shopping scene, offering insight into Swedish shopping preferences.

Finally, we'll proceed with our culinary adventure on our next set of delicious foodie stops.

Immediately following, you'll have the pleasure of indulging in one of Sweden's finest desserts: the impeccably creamy and super fluffy Princess cake.

As with all our tours, there's our delicious Secret Dish.

It was our first food tour and I went with my dad. The guide was a lovely, very friendly young 19 year old lad (apologies I can’t remember his name) he not only could give us plenty of interesting historical information about Stockholm but he also kindly took the time to answer our questions and wrote down some recommendations in my phone. Speaking as an experienced tour guide myself (from Ireland) I can tell you that this job is harder than you think. You need good people skills but also a wealth of knowledge and an ability to communicate that knowledge in a memorable way. I know a great guide when I see one and I was impressed that this young man knew so much and was so mature. Not only did he have good information, he was able to convey it with passion and in a clear and engaging way. He even seemed to know a good deal more about Irelands history and culture than most would and he was only 19! He's definitely cut out for what he’s doing and his company should feel lucky to have him!
