Explore the historic district of Södermalm Island on a 1.5-hour guided walking tour of one of Stockholm’s most bohemian areas.
Dubbed SoFo (South of Folkungatan) as a play on Manhattan’s SoHo (South of Houston), today it is known as the trendiest area in Stockholm; home to the city’s hipsters, fashion brands, vintage shops, and excellent restaurants and cafés.
Learn the history of the area, starting from when people moved to Södermalm after the Old Town ran out of space. Hear dark stories behind the beautiful views, including tales of executions and witch trials. Walk in the footsteps of Lisbeth Salander and Mikael Blomqvist from the “Millennium” trilogy by Swedish novelist Stieg Larsson, now adapted for both Swedish TV and American film.
