Super quiet boat and very comfortable seats. Snack bar prices are reasonable, too. The outside decks provide great views and visibility for pictures. The fjord is beautiful. We did this trip in lieu of cruise boat offerings and it was easy to find and half the price. The actual loading area is further down the street from the listed meeting point so just look for the blue and white catamaran. It was only a 150 m or so from where our ship was docked so it is easy to find. There are several bars and souvenir shops nearby if you have time after this excursion. We would definitely recommend it.

Easy to find (right next door to the cruise ship). Lots of seats both inside and out even though it was a capacity sailing. We got to see everything as expected (pulpit rock was in cloud for much of the time but we did get a short clear patch). Great scenery and journey. The screens inside and on the bow showing where we were heading would be very useful in inclement weather. Great value refreshments.

Full description

Immerse yourself in the beauty of the Norwegian fjord landscape aboard a silent and electric boat. Sail from downtown Stavanger along the Lysefjord to Preikestolen, the so-called Pulpit Rock. See where the “vagrants” hid from the sheriff in the old days as the boat stops by Fantahålå (Vagabond’s Cave). Then gaze up at the famous and majestic rock formation Preikestolen, towering 604 meters above sea level. Next stop is the Hengjanefossen waterfall, where the crew brings the bow so close to the falls that you can feel its refreshing spray! Grab a snack from the onboard kiosk and relax on one of the sun decks or inside the spacious and comfortable cabin. Keep an eye out for the occasional seal sunbathing on a rock. Take in the idyllic scenery before returning to the port in Stavanger.

1 September 2024 We we on a Norwegian cruise and after some of the scenery and waterfalls we had seen previously this was ok. It was a long time on the boat, not enough seats outside I stood all the way. When we arrived we pulled into a narrow ravine, basically looked up at the rock took photos with everyone trying to get to the front of the boat then went a short way along rock to a water fall. Same thing again everyone trying to get to the front of the boat to take photos and then a long boring journey back. My advice do the same trip on the RIB boats they do the same tour in about a third of the time.
