From Zurich: Full-Day Mount Stanserhorn Discovery Tour

From Zurich: Full-Day Mount Stanserhorn Discovery Tour

On this full-day tour you will discover the magnificent Mount Stanserhorn in the heart of the stunning Swiss countryside. From Zürich you will be taken on a scenic coach journey to Lucerne through the beautiful countryside along the shores of the Lake Lucerne.  Enjoy some time at leisure to explore the Old Town before continuing on to Stans, where you will board the vintage funicular train for an unforgettable ride through blooming meadows to the valley station of the world’s first CabriO cable car. This latest master piece of Swiss engineering is a unique open top aerial cable car which takes you up to Mount Stanserhorn (6,230 feet/1,900 meters). The unimpaired view from the roofless upper deck of the gondola is truly memorable. On the top of the mountain, a magnificent panoramic view over ten lakes, 100 kilometers of the Alpine mountain range and three countries awaits you. Take the short hike to the peak and visit the marmot park to watch these cute animals play, and have the option of sampling a typically Swiss dish in the revolving Rondorama restaurant. After descending to Stans, you will take the public train back to Lucerne for some additional time in this lovely city before taking the coach back to Zurich in the evening.

Follow the trail along the lakeshore and admire wonderful views of the Pilatus, Rigi, Stanserhorn, Bürgenstock and the local vineyards. I used the Swiss travel pass a lot, I went to several cities in Switzerland, and I also paid half the price for several mountains. If you want to visit several cities and pay half the price for the main mountains, it's worth it, but if you're not going to visit other places, it's not worth paying.

It's pretty safe and you don't have to worry about buying tickets for each journey anymore. The process is simple, they send you an email with all the instructions, you activate your pass, and that's it. You just show the PDF during each journey and enjoy the views of Switzerland.

Switzerland is a fantastic country, we stayed for 5 days and next time I would stay for at least 7 days, Swiss Travel Pass, I highly recommend it, in addition to saving you money you are free from having to worry about additional expenses with public transport,

If you are going to stay in Switzerland for more than 2 days and need to travel, you don't need anything better.

Very. Punctuality, very good connections, kindness of people and surroundings.
