What People Are Saying About Stanley Park Totem Poles
Very thorough way to get the big picture of the entire town and help decide where you might want to spend more time. Drivers very helpful in suggesting how to get the most out of our visit.
This great tour let me see the sights I wanted to see without having to cobble together transportation. We had 2 great drivers who didn't add anything to the recorded commentary, but had 2 that were wonderful, naming favorite restaurants, sights, etc. We could hop off, look around, then hop back on. We got to see all of Stanley Park and never could have done that without a vehicle. Loved this and the price we paid was much better than you pay if you just walk on and buy your ticket on the bus.
The ground staff did not provide any information on which trolley goes where(park or city) . All the tourists waiting in line for boarding needed to run around to ask each driver. Moreover, the staff did not even let us know that the trolley which we were queneing would be out of service. We had to run to the other trolley which was aboit to leave to check if it was in service. Also we had waited for 40mins for trolley service. During this period, no ground staff offered any information at all. Lastly, we purchased the tickets online but the staff did not give us the trolley map not coupon booklet unless we asked for them. This was a very terrible customer service
The tour had an excellent rout throughout the city taking in almost all of the important sites and the map gives you an accurate description of different things to see and do, how long they will take and prices. It was obviously researched well. The stops themselves don't stand out very much and can be quite tricky to find. Also you don't know stop 17 isn't running until you find it. If 17 is your closest go to 15. The tour could be improved significantly with live commentary. I was hoping it would live up to the standard I'm used to (Big Bus Tours) and it didn't really. The recording is kind of boring and embarrassing. Maybe it should be re-recorded? The city itself its absolutely amazing and the tour didn't quote live up to that. Their competitor follows a very similar route. I chose them just because I wanted a real hop on/off bus rather than a little trolley: maybe their tour is better? I don't know. They didn't know when buses were coming either
This tour is a must for anyone visiting Vancouver. Very organized, and the narration is great. All the staff were friendly and helpful. There are many stops to make it accessible all over town
