Begin the day with a pick-up from your accommodation in a comfortable minivan at around 8:30 AM. The first stop will be in Agrigento. This city used to be the richest of all the Greek colonies.  Admire the beautiful and impressive Valley of the Temples, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997. See some of the best-preserved Greek temples in the world. Pindar, the Greek poet, and writer, described it as one of the most beautiful cities of those inhabited by mortals. The Valley of the Temples is famous for its well-preserved temples, seven in total.  The Temple of Concordia is one of the best preserved Greek temples in the world helping the site to gain the classic UNESCO world heritage award. At the site, visit the remains of many other temples dedicated to various divinities like Juno, Hercules, Hephaestus, and Athena. Next see one of the most amazing beaches in Sicily. A few kilometers away from Agrigento, find the Scala dei Turchi, literally translated to Turkish steps. Discover a dazzling white rock formation, rising from the clear blue sea-like giant steps. Walk this gentle slope, high above the sea on your feet, and enjoy a unique experience. Here, have free time to enjoy one of the most famous beaches in Sicily. Enjoy a tasty snack, all accompanied by local wine and water.

The 3.5-hour itinerary will show you the Scala Dei Turchi and all the beauties of the coast: coves and beaches. The departure and return will be in the beautiful port of San Leone. Soon after the departure you will see the mouth of the legendary Akragas River and the view of the valley of the temples from the sea. After Porto Empedocle we will reach the Scala dei Turchi in a few minutes with its particular shiny water where you can swim and snorkel right in front of this majestic white marl cliff. Moving further west we will reach Capo Rossello, the lighthouse that dominates the coast and the bay of the Madonnina, in front of these places we will make the second stop for swimming. The last stop will be before returning and we will also visit the Saracen tower and the Siculiana beach. After your visit, you will head towards the Scala dei Turchi, one of the most impressive marl cliffs in the world. Here you will be able to enjoy the magnificent sandy shoreline and take beautiful pictures. Relax and enjoy some free time, where you can have your lunch in local restaurants or take a dip in the crystal-clear waters of Agrigento's coastline. At the end of the tour, you will return to Syracuse.

You can take a medium difficulty trekking route to view the 2001 flow Free visit at 2000 m. where you can "walk around" one of the inactive crater up on the Volcano ETNA and have a wonderful view of our mountain Etna. Try a unique emotion where the beauty of nature is the first element and then you can start a trekking moderate walk to see the rest of the eruption of 2001.
