Corfu: Dog Sightseeing Tour

Corfu: Dog Sightseeing Tour

The idea for this tour came from a dear friend of ours. She has faced significant challenges and developed a phobia, making it very difficult for her to be in crowded places. However, our dog, Shiva, always managed to lift her spirits and change her mood for the better. During my studies in canistherapy, I was inspired to incorporate dogs into my regular job as a tour guide. Our tours provide not only information about the city, the island, and tips on where to eat, drink, and explore, but also the unique experience of being accompanied by our friendly dogs. Since we started, we’ve welcomed clients who love animals, support stray dogs, or wish they could have a dog but can’t due to their busy lives. Families with children also find our tours particularly enjoyable, as the children can interact and play with the dogs, making the experience more engaging for them. Alongside the historical and cultural insights, we showcase the unique personalities of our canine companions, adding a special touch to the journey. We’ve also had the privilege of hosting clients with disabilities, including those with mental health challenges. One memorable experience was guiding a family with a mentally disabled member; the presence of the dog made the tour much easier and more enjoyable for everyone involved. Our dogs also play an important role in fostering and supporting other animals. Proceeds from the tours go to local shelters, helping stray and abandoned dogs. One of our happiest team members, Soula, joined us after her original owner fell ill. We decided to keep her, and now she’s a full-fledged tour guide, bringing joy to everyone she meets.

This has been one of my favorite tours ever. We are currently on the Sun princess cruise. For anyone doing this from a cruise it was very easy to get there (via cab quick 7 min ride to the exact drop off spot). Ariti was our guide and she was Amazing so full of love for her home and the food and the people. The food and history was amazing. Our group was our party of 5 ranging from 12-75 and another party of 3 that was a couple with a stroller. We all enjoyed it !!!! The food and history behind the food was amazing. I now want to come back so I can spend more time here in Corfu. Ariti was so knowledgeable and answered so many questions. Showed us tips and tricks on how to know if something was locally made. Hands down amazing guide and amazing tour. She then showed us how and where to catch the shuttle back to port which was 2 euros a person and was right where our tour ended Thank you for an amazing day Ariti !

The itinerary was followed precisely and carefully, with plenty of time for the beach and sightseeing, and the tour guide was flexible in case of specific needs. I recommend it for those who have only a few hours and want to visit Corfu without missing out on the sea.
